Well, that's always nice to see. T.Hawk just doesn't get much love. He's always been unpopular. I think quite a lot of people either hate him or are indifferent towards him. I think it's more rare to see him in solo pics versus group shots with other SF characters. I really enjoy his story the most with Juli! I'm just such a sucker for a romance, lol.
I'd definitely pay some money if Capcom or Udon or Joey Ansah/Christian Howard actually fleshed out the T.Hawk x Juli(a) relationship before she was kidnapped and brainwashed...

Ya know, I sure wouldn't mind T.Hawk getting a new default costume sometime in the future. Since he's already unpopular, why not give him something different (like Capcom did with Ken and Birdie for SFV)? It might actually help him gain some more fans in the process.

I think it's another matter is people thinking he's just a big, dumb character. (I was one of them at first.) But as you start to play him you realize "Dude, this guy is fucking radical. He's like 8 feet tall, flies, and chops down trees with the side of his hands." It's a very interesting design and one that set the trend for Native Americans in fighting games, if you really think about it.

I would love if Juli was in SFV and was a grappler with T-Hawk moves. That would make my day, lol.

I really liked T-Hawk's Alt 2 in SFIV. I feel like more people would be willing to accept him if he wasn't a big hulking mass entrapped in denim lol (I like it, though, but I can see why some would be turned off.)

Yeah. T.Hawk's moveset with his stature and the flying/chops looks kinda awkward but it's pretty unique. No other character seems to be quite like him. I also think people don't care for him because his personality could be classified as....boring. He's always reminded me of Ryu (in that regard), like a more Spiritual version of Ryu. He even shares the same birthday with him, lol. There's also the whole thing with him being an offensive stereotype that has followed him around since he was created it seems like. I used to hate the guy because of that. Only later when Juli was added to him and I looked at his story more closely that I started to like him more than I used to.

I think T.Hawk is the FIRST Native American-like character in Fighting Games actually! Looking at dates, SSFII came out in Sept. 10/11, 1993 while Virtua Fighter came out either Oct./Dec. 1993 and Power Instinct came out in Nov. 1993. So T.Hawk ended up beating out both Wolf Hawkfield and White Buffalo (his two closest rivals) to the arcade scene by one month to a couple months anyway! It certainly looks like he set the trend for a Native American explosion in the Fighting genre.

I can see Juli(a) as a grappler but I can't see her using T.Hawk's aerial moves where he hits you with his head or body, lol. Since she's German, I was thinking it would be more appropriate on Noembelu instead. I had an idea that Juli would be a hybrid Cammy/T.Hawk (where she'd be more of a Kicking-oriented Cammy mixed with grapples from T.Hawk) type character and Noembelu would use her tomahawks while mixing in T.Hawk's particular Body-like Aerial moves. I got the idea for a Juli = Kick-Oriented Cammy from the Udon Street Fighter World Warrior Encyclopedia where it mentioned that her specialty is jump kicks. I just thought it would be cool if it was expanded on a bit.

His Alt 2? You mean T.Hawk's Aztec outfit? New character Necalli seems a bit similar to that imo.

Yeah, Alpha 3 really shaped a lot of what T-Hawk is today. In the SF2 days, he was just some big dumb guy who wanted his land back from Bison. Heck, in the SF2 animated film, he was just some big dumb guy who wanted to fight Ken for no raisin whatsoever. But, yeah, I do see him as a spiritual Ryu in that sense and see the similarities. He's like Ryu if he smoked the peace pipe, lol.

He is. He's not really accredited but he really set a trend for a wave of other characters, so no matter how racial insensitive he may be (who in Street Fighter isn't?) I think that demands a little respect.

I wanna take that a step further and have her do headlock Frankenstieners like Ralf from KOF. That shit would be boss.

Oh, I meant Alt 1 with the Chinchilla Dockers, hahah, sorry. That one.

Yeah, T.Hawk wasn't exactly properly fleshed out in the beginning. His plot was super paper-thin (not to mention the rest of the characters in the SF2 days, lol). His dad wasn't even mentioned until Alpha 3 (unless you knew Japanese and had the material from there). I'd also love to know more about his father, Arroyo Hawk, in general. Alpha 3 is one of my absolute favorite games in the Street Fighter series (after SSFII). T.Hawk and Juli also remind me of Kenshiro and Yuria (could also be translated as Julia, lol) from Fist of the North Star since the guys are on a journey looking for their girlfriends. I think Alpha 3 and Juli gave T.Hawk more of a direction and purpose.

Too bad he's not credited for that. I agree, he deserves some respect from people even if it doesn't happen. Poor guy. He gets crapped on by the fans, in tournaments (from what I've read, he never does very well in them) and his storyline is pretty tragic. I feel bad for him!
It does make him an underdog-type character to root for though.

That would be cool for Juli(a)!
Speaking of other fighting game characters, I wish I could have used a Shadaloo Doll uniform for Julia Chang. I wanted to make her Juli but I couldn't. I've read people say how similar they look. I'm not a Tekken fan but I'd love to see Juli(a) vs. Julia Chang for SFxT2 or a TxSF someday!

Ah, T.Hawk's Alt 1. Okay. That alt always reminds me of Galuda's costume from Power Stone.
