i dont. i dont count myself among anyone. im a loner or lone wolf. dont really align anywhere though ive been told to give wicca and a few other things a try... im just a free spirit and go where i go. it sounds weird but i just got off work and am usin my wii... never again... x.x

Yeah, Wicca is very much not my thing, either. Some of my friends have Wiccan overtones, but we classify ourselves as "eclectic." We each follow our own paths. My wife follows the Norse, for instance. Advantage of Phoenix is that she can be either Goddess or God, as needed; being the spirit of reincarnation makes gender a moot point. I usually refer to her in the feminine, but that's just personal preference. ... She's sexier that way.

heh, sorry it took so long to reply, haven't been able to get on lately. when you say she follows the Norse, what do you mean? and has the advantage of the phoenix? (i'm a curious person XD, I'm interested in spiritual beliefs, or religious, whatever it's referred to) better curious than demanding I guess though... my spiritual guide has always been a feline and my guardian a phoenix...may have something to do with it...

Speaking of slow responses...

Anywho, my wife's patron god is Odin and her goddess is Freya, so she's got a strong connection to the Norse. Of course, she was drawn to them for a reason; she's always had an interest in the mythology and she shares some of their core traditions, like a strong belief in hospitality. Her spirit guide/totem animal is the otter; it's a perfect match for her.

For me, since I work with Phoenix, I don't have an individual patron god or goddess - the Phoenix covers both. S/he's got both male and female aspects and, being the essence of reincarnation, can be either or neither or both. I've always had a strong connection to animals in general, but my totem animal seems to be the squirrel. Just something about the crazy little buggers that I love. And some people say there's definite similarities in personality, but I think it's just because I'm a little nuts.

heh, my life kinda went down the tubes recently, so responding takes awhile. I'm in the process of moving to Cali. My totem is the snow leopard, my guardian/teacher is the phoenix

Sorry to hear that and I can definitely sympathize... April was a very messy month for us. Thankfully, the crapiness seems to have passed with the month itself, so things have improved. Hope yours has been improving as well!

Well I do hope things improve for you in the near future! There's a lot of people dealing with some ugly crap right now (especially around the Mississippi); unfortunately all we can do is press forward and keep fighting until it improves. Don't give up the fight!

i'm really trying not to... but it gets harder each day, I just feel like my soul is very slowly dieing... which is very painful. Most people say only your heart breaks, but I lost him, and i just feel my entire soul shattering and not able to get back together... I feel spiritually lethargic...

A broken heart is certainly one of the most painful things you can ever encounter, but there's not much to do except push onward and try to find some other place of happiness. Be strong and don't surrender to the pain.
