At least a year. And mostly chilling. Working on my Pokemon site, looking for a new job, drawing, same old same old.Β

I don't really mind negative criticism in the end, but most of it tends to be 'your stuff is so bad' or 'You shouldn't even try to draw', to a lesser extent I get told that I need to practice anatomy or so forth, but ultimately I know my real problem is that I have problems (especially when drawing digitally) with drawing shapes, so even using one of those pose manicans causes problems for me. xDΒ
I'm not letting myself be upset or feel like crap because of it, though. I will get better with practice.Β

Now THAT'S the spirit! I don't know if you saw my first drawings that I posted on here since I took them off a couple years ago, but I miss them. They were drawings done in ms paint and totally different from what you see in my gallery today. Also shapes are a pain in the butt. It's really hard to get the anatomy right, but I'm determined to get better at it (maybe in a different style though). We'll figure it out xD

I just try to remember my style isn't there's, and practicing will help me get better- especially if I challenge myself, regardless. I've got a very 'cartoonish' style if you've not noticed before, and I don't mind that at all (Even if it makes me sure I'll have problems drawing girls when I get around to trying it) and it makes me worry less about the anatomy practice because I can practice it all I want but unless I'm trying to go for a super realistic style only making sure things can even bend a certain way is my issue I think.Β
And I don't even think I could begin to try a super realistic style. xD

Dude, girls are super hard to draw. It's funny because when my guy cousin and I started drawing, he had problems drawings guys and I had problems drawing girls. Takes a lot of scribbles just to get the chest and curves right xD. Drawing realistically can be great practice, especially when trying to practice drawing shapes, curves, and lines.
Btw, if you don't mind me asking this, are you in high school? (You totally don't have to answer this question if you don't feel comfortable). I'm just curious lol.

Nah, not even. I haven't been in high school for like 7 years. XD I graduated in 2007.Β
And yeah, I know some people who are GREAT at drawing girls no matter their gender because that's like all they draw, where as in my case I don't know I guess I'm just bashful about my art on top of feeling it's 'meh', so really haven't even tried to draw girls, even though I've recently been trying to challenge myself to it. Especially given I personally have several female characters that exist that deserve to be drawn just as much as my male characters do. XD
Male characters are just easier to look at examples of how muscles and skin and shoulders and stuff are supposed to look like without getting a "Are you looking at porn or something in broad daylight...?" from my family.Β

Unfortunately, I haven't really been drawing much lately. Trying to draw characters for ideas that pop into my head but it's hard to get their designs right. Hopefully I'll be able to draw something soon and post it up, b/c my last deviation was from a couple of years ago xD...

If you knew me IRL you'd know that I have a dozen ideas going on at the same time, and sometimes new ones sprout at random times lol. I guess one has to do with evil corporations and lower/middle class business people rebelling against the corporations using themed weapons (according to their profession and shops).
For example, a doctor would have errr....syringe shuriken or something (just a random example I thought of).

I have an original world myself that I've been working on for 2 or 3 years, just because I was busy trying to create something my friends and I could collaborate on and which took aspects from fictions I liked but removed the aspects I didn't like and had more sense and world building to it than 'hurhur magic kid/boy who is the chosen one but no one can figure that out until he gets drafted into being a ninja/grim reaper/pirate/baseballplayer/monk.Β

Well it's not really a game to be taken too seriously. Think of No More Heroes. Sure, that's a game about an assassin trying to kill his way to the top, but he's also and otaku, loves wrestling, and isn't that smart.
Well, glad it's not based off of tropes and typical/recycled anime stuff. Sounds like it's heading in a good direction! I'd ask more about what it's about, but I'd understand if you don't want to publicly post/share ideas.

With you I don't mind sharing ideas, but most of my stuff is already (written) up and created into a semi-RP world setting, which has tons of room for stories outside of the immediate setting. I'd happily show you it, but it wouldn't be easy to explain everything accurately without being able to answer any questions you had in real time via like a chat or IM program or something.

I bought my 3DS just for Pokemon X, though the icon I've got there is actually from the game. It's a picture I took in game and then got off my SD card and turned into an Avvie. x3

And mhm! It is, yes. That was one of the big things that got me to want to play it, but you can customize your appearance (though girl characters get even more customization options than boys) and their clothes and so forth, buying new stuff as you go and taking pictures at 'landmarks' and so forth around the Kalos region. It's pretty cool and fun, especially because it is saved onto your system's SD card and also sent to Pokemon.com so you can retrieve the pictures.Β

You know even though I'm a girl (and will probably play as a girl in that game), I think it's kind of unfair to allow more customization options for the girls =/

You really should. It's fun, and if you do get it I can add you as a friend and when you beat it and can do the friend safari you can catch charmeleons and braixens in the wild in my friend safari. XDΒ
And yeah, they're not open about it either, but it's definitely there. I'm not sure about the clothes options (Though I'd assume they were more numerous too), but I know for a fact they have a LOOOT more options for hair styles. Boys have like... 3 (ish?)Β

I looked it up serebii and they have (I think) the whole list of options. I was like, "Oh the boys have pretty cool clothing options and accessories. Whoa! They have 3 hairstyles! *Looks at the girl list to see, like, 20 more hair options* Wth....?"

Yeah, the boys DO have pretty cool clothes options, I've got like 5-6 favorites, but there's like only 1 hair style I can even stand. Not only do boys only have 3 hairstyle options, 2 of them are like... really similar. XD And it wouldn't be a problem if you didn't then notice 'wtf? 20 hair options for girls?'

Your avatar/icon is your character, right? That hairstyle is really cool/adorable and probably one of my favorites for the boys. As for the girls, I think I like..okay I forgot xD. I think medium/short hair with bangs.

Yeah, my icon is the only hair style I really liked of the boys, and especially with ever. I've actually got like uh... 5-6 pictues on my computer I took off my 3DS SD card, from pictures I've taken in game, as Β there are spots you can do that in 'tourist spots'.Β

XD Initially that's why I took the pictures off the SD card to do, but I just haven't really sat down and tried it yet, especially given I can't decide which team to keep him with given my only steady 4 are Beedrill, Greninja, Blastoise, and Fletchinder (the best of all regional bird Pokemon).Β

Yeah, it's hard to choose just ONE steady team. Just randomly pick the other two from Pokemon you've had in your team and enjoyed. Really? Fletchinder is the best regional bird Pokemon? Is it because it's a mix of types other than just flying?
I honestly don't know if my team would change (or would include Pokemon past gen 4). I'm actually pretty set with my team from HGSS: Quilava (I love Typhlosion, too, but Quilava is my fave Pokemon), Luxray, Nidoking, Scizor, Flygon, Squirtle (okay, my Squirtle is terrible and sometimes I change him with Poliwrath, but I have some deep connection with Squirtle since he was my fave Pokemon back then xD). Guess I should keep building teams and change it up.

Well it's a mixture of the fact it's something other than the 'normal/flying' typing we normally get from the regional bird pokemon, being flying/fire type, but additionally its design is just awesome. Robin to Cardinal or Robin that's bigger, to Falcon. But additionally, they're very good. XD And my only other even 'liked' flying pokemon that are of the regional bird category are Spearow and Hoothoot, both of which unfairly don't get a 3 evolutionary tier like the rest get.
Yeah, I know the nostagalia thing, it's why I love Beedril despite the fact most people insist it sucks. My favorite teams in general have been Feraligatr, Blastoise, Beedrill, Snorlax, Magneton (Not Magnezone, Magneton), and then normally Spearow/Fearow with Pursuit or something else.Β

Yeah that's my problem with Magnezone, it's derpy and ugly. And yeah, it's more useful than the others- and I don't even really consider Spearow a regional bird because he's always been sidelined at best, even though he is ocol.
And yeah, Taillow might only be 2 stage now that I think about, or Starly, I confuse those two.Β
Murkrow and Spearow are busy being 2 stage only bros.

Yeah, just a /little little/ later. You can get him in the tall grass to the west of Viridan City, where as you can run into Ratatta or Pidgey in the grass between Pallet Town and Viridian City.
