That painting is a portrait of Felix's predescessor, who fails to have a name yet D:
Basically, in the second revoloution (oh yeah, Britannia is going through a rough patch 
Now, because Felix is a psycho, he feels he has to murder this guy pretty brutally, because he killed the guy who he supposedly killed who kept him locked up for years. Basically he wants to avenge himself? 
So now, he's just been asking for a portrait of the corpse to be done, so he can hang it in place of the portrait with the guy alive in it. Because he wants to remind people he's boss or something? I'm not really sure to be honest, he was just having a morbid moment I think |D

I think everyone has their own personal writing style, and one style is not better than the other. C: So, I think that the fact you can write in first person marvelously is amazing, considering a lot of people don't know how to do it properly. xD I'm more of a third person, but I SHOULD be trying to expand my style by beginning to write little proses in first. :C
C: Writing what your character is thinking is good! My roleplay style usually is random, but it focuses a lot on what my character is thinking also. I know people who don't focus on their character's thoughts at all; it's all about the describing with them. xD They're the ones that can make the poetic "blood-stained crimson claws" or something like that perfectly. C: Sadly, I can't do that. I'm a bit simpler. xD
