# About me

I began woodburning in 2010. It was slow at first but my pace is picking up as I'm getting more practiced with the medium. My Dad used to do it too and I suppose I can find my first inspirations with him. In turn, I find my kids wanting to get into it too (which is super cool)! Getting back into art in general after many years away from the sketchbook is a really great feeling!

Not kidding, been drawing for many moons though and the transistion was...fairly easy. Either way, thank you for the compliments. It's always nice to know someone out there enjoys the art that I send into the world!

Having some previous artistic knowledge does help in speeding up the burning process, what kind of medium did you prefer using before burning?

Graphite mostly, I just took a Drawing I class just to get back into the flow of the art and the prof wanted us to use charcoal and assorted other things but I kept being drawn back to graphite. Oil pastels are one of my favs too. I just love the feel of them and the effects you can get.
