The influence of Frank Miller I was able to pick up easily from your work but that John Romita Jr. under 'Favorite Visual Artists' surprised me a bit. I mean, I basically rip off his stuff on a daily basis, but is there some 'romita-isms' that can be found in your work?

Well, FM is a Godfather of comic book art for me and JrJr impressed me with his art on DD MWF very much. The book worked out just as fucking hell! And i believe it wouldnt be so great without JR. Cuase ,man, just look at the power and the lightness of the combat and all that moves! but there is such simplicity in his art decisiones at the same time. it`s dope! So, when i`m saying that JR is one of my favorite artist i`m talking about JR of 90s.
I`m trying to combine these features in my work but it requires some mad skills.

JRJR does walk this interesting middle ground between simple and detailed. By that I mean you can look at his pages and see there's detail, but when you really look at them closely enough, they are pretty simple. There's clarity: there's always enough stuff to not look blank, but there's also no way you would see the meticulousness of David Finch or Art Adams in his drawings. But it's a style that works really well for both quiet scenes as well as action. Kinda funny though to listen to him jokingly talk back in the day how his inkers used to "hit his guts for drawing too many backgrounds" when now his backgrounds look so simplified, with lots of black silhouette buildings and implications rather than everything carefully rendered.
But now I'm just launching into a lecture. Again, looking forward to seeing more of your work!

He doesn`t afraid to admit that his style is too blocky/ but wait a minute! Just the saim thing i heard about Kirby`s art from the artists that worked with him in Marvel comics!
