Thanks for the kind words!
Here is my recipe:
- wood base;
- wire armature (I usually use galvanized steel);
- paper, tape, aluminum foil to flesh things out;
- glued cloth for expansive surfaces, clothing, and sometimes skin and hair;
- epoxy sculpting compound for details (usually face and hands) (I occasionally use sculpy products instead);
- paint with acrylics.
Enjoy!

wicked. Β If you don't mind me asking...how long does a piece usually take, and what do you charge? Β I struggle with pricing my pieces, there's a fine line between people collecting housewares and those collecting art.

hmmm, both tricky questions.

How long does a piece take to make? Do I count the thinking time? Do I count the curing time? If I only count the time actually physically working on the piece, the answer is still very vague...several days of work to several weeks of work...but possible longer or shorter .

Regarding prices, I haven't been actively selling since the 90s. I intend to start again soon, but I don't have prices planned out. Prices depend on a lot of factors, but ultimately it is the market, isn't it? I would say if you feel people are treating your art with less respect than you'd like, raise your prices. You might sell less stuff, you might make less money, but you will be more sure that the people buying it really appreciate it. I hope that helps.
