No problem!
If your talking about your icon on the top of you profile next to your name it should have a picture of your current icon click on your icon and a pencil should pop up click on the pencil and it will ask you if you want to change your avatar with a webcam or choose a file, click choose a file and choose the picture you want to use as your icon! You can then scale it to make it fit!
If your talking about deviantart ID, there should be a pencil in the corner click on it and your see the editing page find a button that says profile picture, then choose upload picture and upload your new icon!

Well the easiest way for new people as far as i know is dahub! But you could do commissions or adoptables!
