Wow, thank you!! *blush* I do try but as I'm sure you know there is a lot of very excellent artists on this site, many better than me. Violin is a wonderful instrument! I just went for my grade 9 RCM exam a couple of weeks ago, how fun I haven't been playing all that long, since I was 13 (I'm 20 now) but I used to play piano before that so I've been in the music scene pretty much all my life. Glad to hear you also love Beethoven, he is my classical hero XD Are you playing a different instrument now?

Wow very nice! I played his violin sonata No. 1 for my exam. To play the Kreutzer and his violin concerto are on my list of life goals to learn That's cool that you play the organ, so does my sister. I wish I could compose, I make things up in my head sometimes but I don't have the patience to write it all down, let alone make it accurate. So good for you! I hope you do well in the competition!!

Great goals! My sister plus violin and she's learning the Mendelssohn violin concerto. Do you know that?
I don't have a computer (just my iPod touch right now xD), so really I have to write my things down. I have kind of the same prob as you, like bein inacurate an stuff. I think there's a few software for doin that like Finale and Sibelius (I used those) and they helpyou with that and you can hear what it sounds like. Maybe look it up and get a demo! It's lots of fun!

Of course! I am a fan of the Mendelssohn violin concerto. I have a very nice recording of it performed by Joshua Bell (one of my top violin heroes - I got to meet him!). Good luck to your sister with that!
I had to compose something for music class back in grade 10, which was a few years ago now, I did use some kind of program but I can't remember which!

Wow Joshua Bell!! My sister loves him! Lol she has the recording and video of Anne-Sophie Mutter that I got for her birthday ^^ I really love it, especilly the beginning with the timpani and strings, then the soloist comes in with the main theme. So cool!!

Yes I love Joshua Bell! I got to see him perform Brahms Violin Concerto in D. I was so nervous meeting him but I came away with a couple signatures, so it's all good Mutter is also excellent, but I think Joshua Bell and Hilary Hahn are my top two favs (of a youngerish age anyways, can't forget David Oistrakh of course!)

I once met the very famous organist Hector Olivera at a concert. Once he heard about me he wanted to meet me so bad that we got to see him at intrmission and after the show! He's such a funny man! We got a few pictures (I think they're still looming around in my gallery somewhere...) and he gave me his personal email and a LOT of sigs! I felt kinda special ^^ he let me play his organ a little too
I love Hilary Hahn's interpetation of the Bach partitas.
Are you planning on playing your violin professionaly? Or is it just a fun hobby

Yeah Hahn's Bach partitas are what first intrigued me about her! She has a fantastic interpretation about them.
I'll have to ask my sister, she probably knows who Hector Olivera is. That does sound pretty special, I wish Joshua Bell has given me his personal email haha
I am doing music in university right now (as the arts part of my Arts & Science degree), not quite sure what I'm going to do with it yet but we'll have to see How about yourself?

I want to be a internationally acclaimed musician! Hehe I want to go to Juilliard (maybe) or Vienna Music University (need to work more on my german!). I want to be a very famous composer and Maestra, if I *can* I want to be like Haydn and compose at least 50 symphonies in my lifetime. Anyways, I really want to take my piano organ and cello playing to a very serious level. I want a doctorate degree in music.

That's amazing!! Remember me when you're famous ahah! That is an awesome goal If I weren't interested in the sciences as well (and if I thought I would make it) I would definitely pursue music performance. Only problem is I get stage fright :/
