No.  It's a fair question. That was purely a fan piece for practice after reading the novel over 15 years ago.  No rights acquired (I tried actually because the fan piece got so much buzz) as it's been held up in litigation since it's creation.  that's why no one has EVER been allowed to do an adaptation.

Aww, that sucks... It was really cool though, do you think you would change the character designs you came up with at all? I'd seriously love to see more fanart of Tal and Guilo(sp?) especially, I loved how you did Guilo (Gilo?)s dreads!

definitely SUCKS! But yes, I would absolutely change the designs.  As an artist you can't be in the same place creatively for too long lest you get stuck in a particular creative rut.  art & creativity & skill sets must continuously advance & progress not only with the times but also towards the ever elusive goal of perfection of one's craft!
Haha Tal & Guilo are consistent favs for everyone!

I think that'd be really cool to see how your style changed with them! I've tried drawing them myself, but angels in general are kind of touch thus far. :/  But like you said, you have to keep at it to get better! I think my favorite part about your Guilo design are his dreads, they just look so cool the way you drew them~

it all looks great! For the paper mache part of the armor, try finding something that has a kind of smooth barrel shape, like maybe a plastic trash can? and use wax paper so you can use it as a mold. (I am by no means a cosplay maker person but idk ill throw something out there) maybe that'll help the shape? :3 Good luck!!

Thanks! A garbage can is a great idea actually! I made my own wire frame and that's why it had the ridges >< but I actually just went a different route entirely because there were some other issues with the papier mache one >< like the sides would really stay together and it was hard and pokey. But the new one works really well so I'm happy ^_^ Thanks for the ideas though!
