Hey, thanks for the favourite! Fun to see that you've been to Bruges, how was it there? We live quite a distance from Bruges (in Utrecht, Holland, not thát far), but in some places here you also get this old medieval atmosphere :) (Smile) .

It was great in Bruges, I really enjoyed staying there. But I guess that there are also very charming places in Holland - it must be wonderful to live there. I haven't been to Utrecht (yet), but I visited Amsterdam last summer and apart from all the tourists it's definitely a beautiful city. Wink/Razz

Ah well, if you live here, things tend to become normal. I think Utrecht is nicer than Amsterdam. It's a quite small city, but still lots of things to do and a nice atmosphere. And not so many tourists as in Amsterdam, I don't really mind the tourists there, but it's a bit sad that every shop focuses on tourists only.

It's certainly true that a region loses some of its charm when you get used to it. But still I personally prefer to live in a beautiful place with a pleasant atmosphere, because even if it becomes normal for me, I will always appreciate it.
And I guess that if I knew Utrecht, I would share your opinion - because I generally dislike big cities (too noisy, too crowded - I can't stand that^^).
