Hi, do you have any tips for painting watercolours? I have only ever painted oil, and would like to get into watercolour painting. Your style is really vivid and expressive. :) (Smile)

Oh wow. I don't really know how I do these things.

I usually don't cover the whole sheet with water but use a wet brush and another sheet of paper as a palette [that's how you can make sure you have the right intensity of color] for doing the small details and main stuff of the picture. It's easy to 'wash out' the mistakes so you shouldn't be afraid of experiments. And the most fun part is doing the backgrounds - that's where you can use a lot of water & let the color flow and mix.

I usually dry the painting with a fan to see whether there's need to fix anything cause it looks different when it's dry.

And I could also recommend to not think about the process that much. Watercolors work great with a bunch of emotions and a cup of coffee streaming in your blood system. ;) (Wink)
