I started doing it like warm-ups picking simple frames, but end it up doing more complicated ones. I put the movie soundtrack of the scene in mind and drop the pencil "digital" when the music ends...around 40 to 60 minutes. Again, so glad you like them!

Really tremendous stuff.  Your textures between the blacks and whites and the looseness of your line and brushes really help to push everything away from looking too heavily photo referenced and stiff.  I think it really works.  It reminds me very much of Alex Maleev, obviously since you use similar techniques.  Looking forward to watching your stuff, especially your sequential work.
