As soon as we have decided on some basics, if you like. Such as, do we post it somewhere as an ongoing fic? If so, where (a forum, or some other site)? What kind of continuity/universe do you want to write for? Which characters will be in it (do we each control our own ones like in an RP)? Do you have a story idea that you would like to explore? Etc.

I'm personally not fussed in terms of which universe we decide on (could even be a new one created just for our fic) or even the story plot and setting, the only thing I would ask really is to be able to write for my favorite characters.

Anyway, I have an idea you just may like. So, since the Great War really began rather than ended, I was thinking that maybe the cause of the Decepticons turning evil could be a virus created by someone unknown. This virus corrupts the moral programming of its host and turns them evil, hence the red optics.

Now here's where it gets good. The virus has no known cure... On Cybertron, that is. This particular virus has a cure that can only be found on another planet, specifically a binary world. But since Cybertron in this story will have three, that's gonna mix things up. Only one can have the cure, and that planet has the answer right below its surface: energon.

The energon found on one of these worlds is the most pure energon in the entire universe. Since it's so pure, it is both a benefit and a threat. Why? Because it has very mysterious properties. One of these could cure the virus...or spread it.

Whaddya think?

It's a good idea, but is it based on my Heroes fic? Because it's got some similar elements to it, like the War is just beginning and the mysterious virus. I'd prefer to keep that separate and start something completely new. Also, I won't write my characters as evil, which is different from canon.

Nah. It'll have some differences. Like Galvatron is the one behind all this. In this one, he is the one who created the virus to further his evil plans, whatever they are. Plus there'll be a time limit before the corruption becomes permanent. How long though... That's a mystery. Not to mention that there is a cure in the form of completely pure energon, a rare form not found on Cybertron. The normal energon is blue in color, right? Well, the energon needed for the cure is bluish white.

So there are some differences.

Also I should mention that my fic only mentions a virus as a historical event - so yeah, there are differences.

Glad you like it. I hope you don't mind me doing Galvatron, and the virus will affect bots such as, oh say, Scourge, and Cyclonus. I'll come up with others as we go along. I'll also write others, such as maybe Prowl and maybe slip in Shroud.

Hmm... thanks for the suggestion however not in this story as I want it to focus mainly on canon characters.

If you feel like RPing again with Shroud... I'd be happy to get something started. Aesir and I have already set up an RPG site but we don't have enough players so it's been sitting there waiting. I was thinking of cancelling it altogether but if you want to join maybe we can get something going. Just a thought.
