Your drawings are amazing ^^
Do you study drawing or it's just a hobby?

Thank you!
Neither, really.. haha. I'm self-taught, but it's no longer just a hobby. I'm a self-employed portrait artist now, but when I started it was just for fun. I never took drawing classes, besides the regular art class in high school.

Self-taught, huh!
That makes your drawing skills quite more impressive!
I'm self-taught, too, and I hope that one day I can be as good as you are XD
Thanks for answering me :3

you have one the best galleries I've seen! It's brilliant how you have managed to get some drawings signed too! You lucky person.
I can't draw people very well so I have to settle for my photography being signed instead haha. I've only met one of my idols who has signed my own 'art' so far though. It's a start haha
Anyway, keep up the fantastic work! I look forwards to seeing more.

Thank you! To be honest, most of my signed drawings I haven't even posted to dA.. I have roughly 30 drawings signed now.
What I REALLY want to do though, is take the photographs I use for my drawings myself. That's what I'm working towards at the moment. I don't like using references taken by other people, because I truly want my work to be 100% mine. It's a little difficult when drawing celebrities, because it's not like I can just show up and get a photo shoot with someone, but I'm trying to figure out how to use my own photography more.

wow!
Yeah that would be amazing. You could always contact the management if they're in your local area, nothing asked nothing gained.
I'm the same and my art teacher always gave me hassle for not using another artists work/style throughout my project. It just feels wrong, I have my own style, I don't want to copy someone else's.
I have my concert photos for reference but I really need to practice my humans before I'd ever show them haha.

Gotta have goals, right?
I'm also working towards moving to London (which will probably happen this year), so quite a lot of people will then be in my local area.. I need to figure out how it works with agencies/photo shoots/payment/etc. I'm not expecting to be allowed to photograph them and use them for my own artwork (and possible commercial gain) without them getting a percentage or fixed amount of money. Not at this stage anyway, I'm not exactly well-known.
I have a few photos from events that I've taken myself and could use, but I think I'd still want the subject's permission. It is their face I'd be using after all.

true haha
Hope that goes well for you, I've been to London twice. Seems like a nice place, certainly the place to be to meet celebs! Yeah I bet they'd want some kind of gain from it but if it works its a good starting platform.
Yeah, I'd never sell my photos purely because I don't know the copyright for event photos if you're not the contracted photographer. It's quite a grey area.

I just lived in London for four months, so I do know what I'm getting into, haha. I did an internship at an art gallery (front of house & marketing), but am interested in theatre marketing/communication as well.
Most of my friends live in London, and most of my professional contacts, too. Pretty much my entire life is already in London, except I'm not permanently there yet myself. I really just need to finish my MA thesis/dissertation, and find a job ("just" find a job.. hah. It makes it sounds so easy!). Ah well. I'll get there eventually!
I understand what you mean. It really is a grey area, especially when it concerns events. You took the photographs, but does that mean it's all yours to do with as you please, or are there rules because it was at a certain event, and what influence does the actual subject of the photographs (in case it's a person) have? It's really tricky!

ah cool, you know far more than me then.
I'm in the same boat with jobs, its not easy! At least I can get some money through commissions but it's not a regular income.
It's a funny area indeed. If you take the photos I know they're YOURS unless say you sell the rights to someone but like you say, does the venue get a say or not if you want to sell them for profit? I think at concerts, bands are aware they will be photographed so they are happy for photographs to be taken unless otherwise stated. The band I photographed kept looking at my camera and smiling so I don't think they really minded haha. Argh it's confusing! XD
