Aw, shucks. I've been at this for a while though, I wasn't always this good. I feel like I've only gotten "really" good at it recently, pretty much since I made the "Time Shifter Artie" in my gallery. I think he was the first one I considered to be "really good".

If you were to commission me for a pony, I would charge between $25-30. I haven't worked out an exact amount yet, but say $5 per hour that it takes (which I timed and it's about 4 hours for a pony), plus the materials (it takes the better part of one skein of yarn, so maybe $2 for that, and a nearly insignificant amount of stuffing compared to the whole bag). So maybe we'll say $30 shipped. That's to almost anywhere. While I can ship overseas, I can't offer tracking outside the US, since it costs way too much more, and I'd hate to ask that much extra.

Also, I'm still getting the hang of sewing on the wings perfectly straight, but other than that, I've pretty much got this pattern down, (in this style. I'd still like to figure out how to do the larger male body style eventually, like Big Mac's. I think the legs need to be bigger for that.).

I wish I could help, but I've only made a plush pony (a unicorn) and my first attempt to make a pegasis (my character) failed miserably. . . .
I made the fabric too thick, so when I sewed the wings on, it actually ripped a part of the seam. . . .

And can NOT crochet. . . . . . . . .

Yeah, he's my favorite guy pony!! (I love apples for some reason, so I love pretty much all of Applejack's family).

That's fine, I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. I used to never even be able to make 4-legged things. Infact, I only just made the pony pattern in the past couple months. That Kimba the white lion in my gallery is the first 4-legged thing I've made in a standing position like that, and I only made him in like, November or so. Things more just kind of occur to me than me actually figuring them out. I'll be laying in bed, almost asleep, and I'll start thinking about how I can make a certain part or shape, and I'll just kind of work it out in my head and realize how to do it. I rarely figure out a shape by actually sitting down and experimenting with it. Most of the work is in my head, and that's just how I work, somehow.

Oh, I should totally try her sometime! I've seen a few crochet versions of her, and I was working out a way in my head to try her in my style. Maybe that will be one of my next bigger endeavors.

And thanks! I'm really proud of how that Kimba turned out. Like I said in my description, that was actually my third one, but the first two were terrible. (actually, the second one I tried sewing in a beanie baby style, and it looked mostly good, but his ears were too big and I still didn't like it). But I love how that one came out. I always had the most trouble with the ears.

It's what happens when I get patterns. I try them out like they say to do, but I allways end up nearly completely re making them myself, because they never seem to turn out as well.

By the time I've got a pattern I like, it's about a week later! XD


The ears are typically the toughest part, as they are so bleepin' SMALL. .
(I have the same problem.)

Your Kimba turned out amazing in the end! Again, it's all about trial and error and practice. ^^

Yeah, I need to get the right color of light grey first. She really won't look right in white.

Yeah, I almost never use other people's patterns anymore. Really, I'd been meaning to try some, to maybe learn some new shaping techniques and whatnot, but I just haven't got around to it yet. there's plenty out there though.

Also, it occurred to me, I haven't asked you yet what you wanted from me for the art trade! So what did you want me to make for you in exchange for that Martin? I could make your custom pony, or if you like something else in my gallery, I could make another one. Or you could commission me for something completely new that I haven't made yet, and I could have a go at making it. Just let me know!

People thing she's white and gray, but she IS a very pale gray and DARK gray!! (I love her, that's how I know. XD )

I vaugely use them, but it's mostly to get a specific shape.
For example, I can't sew a circle, so I used a circle pattern from something else to make my Heartless' head!
THere ARE plenty of patterns out there! Sadly I usualy don't use them . .
But they are a good reference if you get stuck on a design for anything!

Yeah, that light grey is kinda hard to find (for me anyway, none of our craft stores seem to carry it at the moment). But I think a charcoal grey that I have would be perfect for the stripes.

I've never actually played that, but I've seen someone play it once, but that was so long ago I forget what they look like for sure. Or whatever you end up deciding, I'll be waiting!
