Well, that all depends on what kind of sword it is. If it's just your typical pigsticker, then sure, he'd part with it for a good price. If it's enchanted, such as a Flaming Sword +3, he'll stall for a bit and ask if she really wants it. Then he'll demand either a really outrageous price (more so than usual, since he no doubt knows about Makoto's ability) or some other enchanted item to trade.
If it's an Artifact, then good luck. You'll have to pry it from his cold, dead claws. And that ain't happening.
