I am a cartoonist, digital artist and professional graphic designer who’s been drawing cartoons and comics since she was 12 years old. That was when I was doodling dragons in the margins of my math books.I have spent years studying sequential art and visual storytelling as well as applying graphic design principles to create a pleasing experience for others.
My qualifications include a bachelor of animation and a postgraduate in digital design. Currently I volunteer my services at my local charity, creating a monthly workplace health and safety cartoon to be used in their email newsletter.
I have always been passionate about visual narrative and the potential it has to change a life. It is my goal to create my own visual stories through the comic medium and send them out into the world.
I am always experimenting with the Clip Studio Paint software to find new techniques, share what I’ve learned and make things easier for up-and-coming creatives in the field. I am constantly looking to improve my art skills and help others do the same.

Hi there. Sorry I haven't been on Deviantart for weeks.
I started Stay Tooned a few years back as a fan project to help improve my drawing skills. I spent most of the time doing concept material and 3D models of the buildings. I eventually got tired of the project because it took so long to crank out a single page and wanted to move onto other things. So I abandoned it.
However I did put the full script that I wrote in CeltX into my scraps folder. Just in case people wanted the rest of the story.

I was going to put Ben into the comic, but I couldn't fit him in anywhere. I had to cut a lot out.

hi there. I wanted to pass by a sort of "Stay Tooned theory" I've had since before I saw your comic:
If Fiddle is the only character siding with [the player] and constantly being tormented by the other toons, wouldn't it make sense that he was once a human that was also dragged into "TV Land"? This is backed up by what happens at the end of the game to the player.
Just an interesting thought.

Thanks. I guess great minds think alike. When I started the script I had that idea too. I thought Fiddle would have a pre-backstory where he once lived in the apartment building and had a relationship with Mrs Findley (about 50 years back). Then all the events that happened to the player happened to him and the rest is history.
The only problem with this backstory was it conflicted with Fiddle's main goal, to get back to his own world. It would seem like less of a happy ending (I'm going for bittersweet here) if Fiddle remained stranded somewhere that wasn't his home. Although, now that I think about it, that could allow for some character development as he's had years adjusting to TV Land (which I guess would now be his home), and he could teach the player character that "home is where the heart is".
But I've had to cut out a lot of substance to keep the comic the length of a standard issue (it's 32 pages)...and that wasn't really the message I was trying to focus on in the story. I'm thinking about doing a written version with more complexity in it (and better character development), but for the comic I've just kept the story as simple as possible.
(Oh and the player character in this comic is called Brad Bates, but you don't find that out until about page 8).
