Hey, this will probably sound wierd..but I try to help other artist, who might feel sad and have a bad day. Since I don't really know who could be sad I just select a random person.
So idk if you need seeing this (or if it helps) but I wish you a wonderful day and keep doing what you are proud of!

I was a real jerk.

listen, it's one thing to try and correct someone, its another thing to consider the tone you're using.
and like i said.
1- the skull is roughly the right shape (at least more so than the dilophosaurus, troodon tylosaurus ceratoaurus etc)
heck SPINOSAURS has the exact same genetic faults.

If you interpreted my comments as "VERY" snarky, that's on you. I was simply being critical of your argument. Furthermore, you seem to feature every comment that agrees with you, and I noticed no one calling you out on your errors... So I simply thought I'd interject your little circle jerk echo chamber with some facts critical of the argument you were making - which is wrong on almost every level. Case in point;
"...the skull is roughly the right shape".
Yeah it is. No one is denying the fact that a Baryonyx has a superficially crocodilian shaped skull. Hell, Suchomimus (which some regard as synonymous with Baryonyx) literally means 'crocodile mimic'!
But then you go on to claim that the people claiming its' jaws are too broad and crocodilian-like are all wrong. And you use a Baryonyx skull in side view to support this.
In the original comment of mine (which you hid, cherry picked certain parts out of context to respond to, and then unhid when I called you out on it), I made it VERY clear that we are talking about the Baryonyx jaws in FRONT VIEW not side on. Front view! I even linked you to an image of a baryonchine skull (Suchomimus) in front view, to compare with the a picture of the JWFK Baryonyx in front view. You oddly chose not to address that.
Further supporting my observations that the Baryonyx in JWFK is basically a crocodiles head on a Baryonyx body, is the fact that it totally lacks the crest above the eyes which the real animal had. Meaning the only Baryonyx feature on the JWFK Baryonyx head is the fish trap notch in the upper jaw (between the premaxilla and the maxilla).
Congratulations, I agree that the head of the JWFK Baryonyx looks like that of the real animal in SIDE VIEW. I'm still waiting for you to address the actual point I was making.
You have a very "I'm right and my word is law" kind of attitude/tone yourself. The fact that everyone who agrees with you gets a featured comment and anyone who disagrees with you gets their comments hidden doesn't help.
So excuse me if I was snarky.

1- to answer you there i acknowledge that it is indeed broader than it's ancestor.
but i was using a side view to show that aside from the broadness (and slightly croc like traits) it was roughly along the lines of a baryonyx.
and I never fully stated that they were wrong, just that...
1.1- they were exgarratting it (making it sound worse than it actually was)
1.2- making it sound like the worse thing possible.
and yes, I had a look at that link you gave me en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suchomim…
but I when I looked at the FK baryonyx I only saw a slightly broader skull that had all the features of a baryonyx jaws except for a slightly broader mouth.
dino.wikia.com/wiki/Baryonyx?f…
just like the dilophosaurus, the ceratosaurus and the troodon
nothing to complain about.
look
here's the ancestral dilophosaurus-i.pinimg.com/736x/57/eb/9b/57e…
and Here's the ingen Dilophosaurus- jurassicoutpost.com/wp-content…
both are the same angle, but have a MUCH bigger difference than the baryonyx ever had.
2- what evidence do we have that the crest was prominent?
and the crest (on the skull) is so small that it's kinda a detail that shouldn't matter.
again I actually explain it in my post like so:
"Honestly, aside from nitpicks, there’s not a lot to complain about because the only thing that could be considered "missing" is a very SMALL crest that it's fish-hunting ancestor might have possessed, but even then, the crest of the skull is so subtle that there's no real harm in such a nitpick detail being changed (especially considering the same is done ALL the time with ingen's assets) so in my opinion, it just seems hypocritical to bash that one TINY aspect"
why are you making such a big deal out of such a tiny detail that has no real bearing on the overall design?
3- "You have a very "I'm right and my word is law" kind of attitude/tone yourself. The fact that everyone who agrees with you gets a featured comment and anyone who disagrees with you gets their comments hidden doesn't help."
well I'm sorry If I came across that way, I'll be sure to fix that.

Oh, that was an apology. That's interesting... I didn't see the word sorry there anywhere, but ok. Apology accepted I guess.
For what it's worth, I actually do like your Jurassic park art. It's kind of inspiring me to revive my InGen Files series. If I can find the time...

I've come to say that the only reason i hid that comment of yours was not the argument you were making.... but rather the VERY snarky tone you were using.

Miyess In reply to Taliesaurus [2018-09-08 12:26:42 +0000 UTC]
Hmmm... but that contradicts the comments you made here www.deviantart.com/taliesaurus…, where you clearly state that you hid my comment by mistake... three times! and I quote:
"um no...
first of all i hid your comment by accident, so hold on."
"not anymore because i just corrected that mistake."
"well don't worry i corrected that mistake."
So which is it? You either hid it by accident and "corrected that mistake" (as you put it) when I called you out on that. OR you hid it on purpose because you can't handle criticism and perceived my tone to be snarky (which it was).
It can't be both.

yes it can actually....
tell me have you ever made an impulsive decision that backfired on you?

Miyess In reply to Taliesaurus [2018-09-08 12:45:01 +0000 UTC]
Well, if you mean that you looked back on the knee-jerk reaction to silence a dissenting voice in your echo chamber by hiding that comment as a bad decision, then I can see how that could be a decision that was a mistake. And I'm being very generous with that interpretation...
At which point, "accident" was probably a poor choice of words on your part.
More like, you found one person disagreeing with you amongst a sea of yes men all sucking your dick, and you had the knee jerk reaction to hide that one dissenting comment... but then you realised that that was a dick move, something only a person with a weak argument/no good response to criticisms would do, and eventually did the right thing and unhid the comment.
So good job. You did the right thing, eventually. However, I'm still waiting for you to respond to the actual points I made.

He means you sound like President Trump. Saying/doing something on twitter or on camera and then lying to our faces and saying he didn't say/do those things.
You either removed my comment by accident and later "corrected that mistake" when I called you out for hiding my comment, OR you did it on purpose because you didn't like my snarky tone. It can't be both.
