# About me
A dynamic Husband & Wife duo, brings Heart & Whimsy into every custom Pet Portrait, Fan Art, Retro Game Repros, & any other subject matter commissioned!Studio Mono&ME is a collaboration between Husband & Wife Jonny Mono & MaryElizabeth Mono. The couple is new to the Portland, Oregon area & are quickly becoming recognizable figures in the Pacific Northwest. Their smiling faces & positive attitudes are contagious, & reflect the work they create singularly, & together.
MaryElizabeth (The “ME” in Studio Mono&ME) has been wielding a paintbrush since the age of 3, giving her a long-standing, passionate relationship with most anything arts-related, specializing in Pet Portraits; utilizing her fine-arts training for a whimsical & contemporary feel.
ME paints a variety of subjects, usually in Acrylic Paint & Inks, using a time-consuming texturizing process that allows her to not only uniquely convey the personality of those (human or beast) depicted, but also presenting a 3D, one-of-a-kind work that allows the viewers a visual & tactile sensory experience. The ink outlines & bright colors mixed with 3D textures bring vibrancy to her work that makes it stand out in just about any setting. ME is a firm believer in people being able to fully experience art, & seals her paintings so they not only stay vibrant & beautiful to look at, but are completely “touchable” for years to come.
She has a love of pets big or small, furry or feathery (or even scaly!), with a special place in her heart for shelter pets & rescues. (You can often find the Studio’s rescue Schnorkie, Gus, curled up below her Studio table while she works.)
ME also does a series of “Fantasy/Lady Paintings” that show her range as an artist. Her artistic voice is apparent in these paintings, though the subject matter is vastly different than her Pet & Animal Portraits. She explores the feminine with an uplifting sensuality that invites the observer to look deeper. Her first love may be animal portraits, but it is clear that she can tackle other subject matters with just as much depth & passion.
ME’s paintings have been included in many Southwest & Pacific Northwest shows & exhibits. Please visit Studio Mono&ME’s website to find out where you can find her next!
