I tried to look into it, but I only found that Bryke wants to take a break from Avatar stuff. I found this quote on if they're done with the Avatar-verse forever: "M&B: Well, for now. I think we are definitely done with the Korra arc. Who knows what can happen in the future. But as far as the TV series, we are definitely done with Korra. And then we are both definitely taking a break from the Avatar universe, but I always say, it has immense gravity and it always pulls us back in, so definitely not closing the door on anything in the future, but there is nothing in the works right now." This was from an interview that was released on the 19th this month (the interview was itself a few weeks old) (nerdcaliber.com/korra-creators… . So there's a chance of comics according to this (just not right away), but I still feel like I read something more concrete in the past 5 days, hmm. I guess we'll have to wait and see for now.
Now, if Bryan and Mike are not involved, I will be cautious about any comics. I 100%+ believe Bryke would NEVER take Korrasami from us now, especially after their tumblr posts on the subject, but I don't know if any of their affiliates might. Of course, Korra and Asami work so well together that it would basically be inherently not canon for them to permanently split, so if there are comics, the determination of their canon status would ride on how they handled the Korrasami relationship, in my opinion. I just realized I veered a bit from the original point of this post, whoops, haha.

And that's okay. I just hope that if they ever do end up making comics, they don't try to shy away from the Korrasami relationship. I mean, I'm sure Bryke would have a good say in what goes into those comics though. Huh. You know, I wonder if they would start them once Korra and Asami are still in the spirit world or when they come back afterwards.

Yeah, I agree. If they make comics but shy away from the Korrasami stuff, it would be pretty disappointing. I feel like the comics could start either way, though it may be a bit more likely to start after they get back (particularly if they were to try and shy away from the relationship).

That's exactly what I was thinking! My one thing about the betrothal necklaces I've seen people drawing is that they are pretty much all blue with silver. While I still think that's cute, Asami is usually wearing reds and blacks and such, and the blue might clash with her color scheme if there's too much of it. It seems like some blue is probably in order, since most the betrothal necklaces we've seen in-universe have a blue motif somewhere (as I recall? Though Eska's for Bolin was more purple/midnight blue), but isn't that also because the people involved were all Water Tribe (aside from Bolin)? I think it would make sense that when marrying someone out of the tribe, the one making the necklace may very well use different colors. I personally have been imagining it as red and silver with blue accents so that it matches with both of them and doesn't look out of place on Asami.
