Hey! It's been a while, yeah I can't believe how long it's been.
I'm fine, going through my residency training program in radiology. Supposedly getting my license in September.
I'm still drawing but I rarely ever upload to DA nowadays (and rarely check the site, sorry for the late reply), but I've been meaning to put some of the newer stuff here sometime later haha. I'm reworking a short comic right now, but it's kinda slow.  
How are things going for you? What's new?

Yeah wow it has been. Even though I upload all the time I rarely visit other people's pages to look at drawings; you've gotten even better!

Nice! That's a pretty cool thing to learn. Are you going to be trying to get work at a hospital doing x-rays?
I draw a lot too but don't upload it. All I upload is a comic I do. I have a website for it too so it is just a 2nd place I upload it. It's pretty cool to hear you're working a comic too! What is it about?

Mostly work, everything is expensive. Next week I'll be visiting Germany for a week, it should be pretty fun!

I know right? Time flies! And DA is becoming more and more like a graveyard of old drawings, haha. It's nostalgic though.
Are keeping in touch with ogre-knight? I always sort of assumed you were IRL friends, but now I'm not sure if I was right about that or not, my memory is failing me. I just remember that you two were commenting and talking to me a lot which was so nice of you, even though my English was so bad, haha

Yeah doing and reading x-rays, I sure hope to get a job sometime next autumn... Hospital, clinic, anything goes when you're a young doctor without much experience. Also moving out soon-ish, which is really scary, but kinda exciting too so yeah. Fun times ahead!

As for the comic it's just a short fan-comic about a certain storyline in Fallen London game (it's a browser based text adventure kind of thing, it's got really delicious writing and stories). I drew it last summer for a fandom event, but a lot of time has passed since then and I only just now translated it from Russian so I decided to rework some panels, add details, correct some mistakes, that kind of thing. It's going slow because I'm lazy and also study and play games a lot, haha...not much progress was made since I started playing Witcher 3.
What's your comic about? Is that your long-running project?

Oh, visiting Germany sounds exciting! Are you going on vacation or for work? Either way I hope it's a good trip!

I feel the same way about DA. I barely, never, put any of my drawings on DA; just comic pages. I draw nearly every day too and put them on tumblr sometimes. Yeah ogreknight and I have known each other IRL for 15 years. I was talking with him yesterday on Skype since he lives in Seattle now. He went to college and got an Art Degree and he now works on games/pixel art. He's doing alright even though he doesn't have an online presence anymore. I ended up going straight into work; nothing art related. Oh man, talking to you was a lot of fun, your English is a lot better than you give yourself credit for! Your memory is working well too lol.

Ah yeah, moving out is really stressful; doubly so when also trying to get a high stress medical job too! Good luck with both of those things.

I haven't heard of Fallen London, i assume it is in English and Russian? I should learn to read Russian as the text is really nice to look at. If you put it up somewhere let me take a look! My comic is about Kyoni, that blue haired girl I've been drawing for almost 10 years. She has strange dreams that feel like past lives. No one knows why so she leaves home to figure it out. Of course everything goes wrong! I've been drawing it for 3 years; hoping to get up to 2 pages a week someday so I can make some real headway. 

I have witcher 3 on the PS4! I still need to start it. I've been playing too much Darksouls 1,2,3. 

It's a vacation. It should be a lot of fun! It's my first time going to Europe hopefully it goes well and I can check out other countries in the future.

Yeah, DA just feels so dated now, I barely ever visit. I too have tons of drawings I just don't care enough to upload. Got a tumblr but it's mostly a mess of reblogs, I rarely post my art there too, haha

Oh wow, ogre-knight works on games/pixel art now? That's so cool! Is there a way I could see what his art looks like now? It's really great you guys still stay in touch, tell him I said hi! 
And yeah, talking to you two was a lot of fun and motivated me to study English more, I wanted to learn to communicate and express myself better. I was so amazed at the opportunities, talking to people on the other side of the world, sharing art and feedback back then, it was a whole new world, haha. It still is!

Btw what kind of work do you do?
Searching for a job is stressful, yeah. I'm very scared of standing on my own especially where people's lives are concerned. I'm determined to do my best though.

Fallen London ( fallenlondon.storynexus.com ) is only in English, but it's really good (it also has this roguelike spin-off "Sunless Sea", you might have heard of it, it's pretty great), so I rounded up a small team of Russian fans to present it in the Fandom Combat - it's kinda this event where many fandoms compete at different levels and it's all mostly fun. There's a lot of attention and feedback involved and we did really well
It was mostly me and my Dragon Age RP buddies in the team. Every Sunday I go play Dragon Age tabletop (kinda like D&D but in a Dragon Age setting and with a bit simpler system) so we had a bit of this creative activity outside of our usual gaming sessions, haha. Fun times
I'll definitely upload my comic on DA when I'm finished, there's not much work left to be done, so I guess soon-ish?
Can I have a link to the site you post your comic on? I want to have a look, but reading comics on DA is a form of torture, with this clunky interface and everything...

Witcher 3 is absolutely amazing and has consumed my life, I'm like 53 hours in and still only on Act 1 or something. So much stuff going on and all of it is genuinely interesting! I never knew I could get so invested into side quests. Also it looks so good it hurts *clutches heart*
Dark Souls is awesome too! Unfortunately I'm just not gud enough for it so I mostly watch xD

Ooooh, vacation, how exciting! Have fun in Europe! It's definitely worth checking out, there's a lot to see! Where in Germany are you planning to visit? 
Come to Russia sometime, haha I would recommend St. Petersburg because it's so very pretty, but if you're into wilderness then definitely either Kamchatka or lake Baikal!

Sorry for my late reply, I got back and went to work and was pretty exhausted. Do you happen to use Steam? I use that a lot to keep in contact with people though most of my international friends use Skype or Discord... 

Yeah! I wish there was! I barely have any of it either since most of it is used as concept art or it gets finished by another person in a team. I told him and he was very surprised you still remembered him! lol how could someone forget you Ogre?!  Hearing how well you're doing with English makes me want to pick up a real second language. I used to know a bit of japanese but i've forgotten most of my vocabulary. 

ATM I just work at a wireless internet company doing frequencies. I used to work at a bike store and I used to be a manager of a shoe store in a mall. I'd like to get into writing books though, that'd probably pay more . Man it makes me feel old to know I've been working for over 10 years now and I'm going to be 28 soon. It can be tough! I don't know how the job market or rent is like where you live; hopefully both are good.

Oh wow there was a Dragon Age RPG? That's awesome! I play a lot of Pathfinder these days. I used to play a lot of Shadowrun, 3.5, 4, Game of Thrones, and made my own RPG game with around 230 pages or so. Wow that's awesome to hear you play RP games too! Ogre and I used to play a ton together but he still hosts games. I still need to start witcher 3, what system are you playing it on? It looks like such a fun game and world. I own it for the Ps4 so many soon I'll pop it in. 

Germany was amazing! Their public transport simply works and the people are pretty nice. it costs about the same as California so it wasn't even that pricey of a visit. We saw a lot of churches and some great scenes while riding the trains. We visited 6 cities; Frankfurt, Koln, Dussledorf, hamburg, Berlin, and Dresden. If my dad and brother didnt' speak Germany I would've had a hard time getting around that's for sure. Visiting Russia would be really cool. Seeing some forests and petersburg would be something to see for sure! I think I'd need to learn Russian first though. I'm sure enough people speak English there but it would be nice to be able to at least read street and city names!

Haha, I'm replying very late too, sorry! A bit busy with the trial exams for now.
Steam is great! I don't like talking to people on Steam though, mostly because if I'm online it's a sure bet that I'm playing something and don't want to be distracted. I don't use Skype much, although it's a way my RP group keeps in touch so I get online like once a week to check our schedule. I also use Discord, yes!

Picking up a second language sounds like a good idea! I love languages! I studied German in my primary/middle school and was really good at it.. at least I know I got praised a lot .__. I also acted in our school puppet theatre, we did some plays in German there, haha... Then I got into med school that prioritized English and I didn't use German much after that, so I forgot it for the most part. Now English just makes me mix up other languages, so even when I try to remember German I just always end up with weird mix of German and English, it's horrible, haha. Aaaand sometimes English makes me forget even Russian (well more like how to phrase some stuff or some specific word) because I think in English half of the time anyway... it's weird! I really want to learn more foreign languages though! It's a good exercise for the mind and it's is said that studying languages can help prevent dementia later in life? I guess it makes sense. I dabbed into Japanese a bit this year (just wanted an exercise) but kanji stumped me so I dropped it, even though I was doing well. I want to return to it when I have more time.

Ooooh, sounds pretty neat, I hope your job is treating you well! Getting into writing and making a name for yourself is very tough though, but it probably pays well if your books sell. I hope your dreams come true! And 28 is not old! It's cool that you have all this working experience, that's always good. I'll be 26 soon-ish and have no experience whatsoever, at least not the kind that counts for a resume, but hey I was studying medicine, it's not that weird. The job market is meh, it's tough, but in my line of work it's not so bad, radiologists are needed everywhere and earn good money because we deal with a lot of new tech that old people just don't get. I'm worried but I think it'll be okay, probably, eventually. 

Haha, yeah, Dragon Age RPG is cool! Dragon Age system is super easy for playing, so much easier than Pathfinder or D&D for example, so it's fun without being unnecessarily complicated! I've been playing for over three years now, we had three long-term campaigns and meet up every week (if we can). Currently we have adventures in Antiva. Our party is all Antivan Crows that have recently completed their training and now have different tasks to take care of... killing marks and stuff, haha. It's really good for a morally gray (if even a bit evil) type of play life is hard for little crows...they just don't have much choice. But our tasks take us traveling so our game won't be only set in Antiva, our GM promised us lots of different epic adventures in the future! And we had some great ones already. I just dream of getting my Mage a Blood Mage specialization since we are evil assassins anyway... These spells are amazing. (Also I'm always playing a Mage. Always.)
We played some short Pathfinder sessions (in Forgotten Realms setting) before starting our current campaign, it was very fun too! A bit too complex of a system for my taste (it's hard after playing so much of DA), but it's great for pulling off some crazy stunts We also tried out Fate Core system for a short cyberpunk campaign, it's also very cool but in a completely different narrative-oriented way. I loved it.
It's so cool to know that you and Ogre are into this as well (and he still GMs? Awesome!)! I only started playing comparatively recently (well 3 years ago), because I didn't know anyone who played and could get me into it earlier, and that's a bit sad, I think I would've enjoyed it so much as a kid/teen.

I'm playing on PC I only own portable consoles (3DS and a Vita) and I dream of getting PS4 to play Persona 5, but it's not gonna happen any time soon. Maybe from my first/second paycheck when I get a job... But playing on PC can get you very good-looking graphics, at least when it comes to Witcher 3! It's so heartbreakingly beautiful! I heard that there were some problems and bugs and extended loading times on PS4 with Witcher 3... I hope they have fixed them by now though! I recommend getting all the story DLCs as well, they are so much worth it!

Oh sounds like a good trip, you saw so much stuff! I visited only Berlin and Dresden when I was younger, but I have good memories, especially about Dresden, it's just such a beautiful city! But yeah you can't get around much there without knowing German... You would be perfectly okay in (central) Russia though, at least some level of English classes is mandatory in every school in here. Obviously not everyone knows or remembers much English from school, but the majority of people know at least some basic English, also (at least in Moscow) the majority of street signs, metro stations, etc. are translated into English as well.
