I had French classes for three years, but I've got to admit that I prefer Spanish. It's easier to pronounce and read. But given a French text I manage to get the gist of it most of the time.

Funny, concerning Germany most people mention Rammstein. They should apply at the foreign ministry.

I can praise you right back though. The gay marriage and adoption rights issue is finally over with. Kudos to the French government and best wishes to the LGBT community!

Yes I heard French was quite difficult to prononciate... I don't know, I make my sister laught when I try to read German's textes she studies 8D

It's because Rammstein are more memorable than Tokyo Hotel 8D ! (I do not even know if some french singer are well-known abroad... ;_; I suppose not...)

Trust me, me speaking French isn't pretty either.

I read that "native tongue" is more accurate than I thought. Speaking a language for years trains your tongue muscles a certain way, so speaking it becomes easier. Makes it tougher to change from a hard consonants language (German) to a "soft" language (French).
