Tis a strange time indeed.

You should totally make more!! If you ever get stuck on ideas, I'll help, or something...I just really like them But yeah, I get it if not, it must take ages to draw them and polish them off.

Oh, I have some good ideas. It's just trying to figure out how those ideas are going to be transferred on to paper that's the hard part.
Right now I'm working on the cover for it... I might make more afterwards if I'm not swept off into another project. We'll see!
But, anyway I'm still not done posting all the ones that I've already made, so you have some more to enjoy for now. ^^"

Really? When was your birthday? If I missed it...happy birthday!! ... And really, the only thing I'm going to do that's different legally is drive and maybe play R-rated games (if they ever come out in Australia!). I don't plan on ever drinking...ever.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thunderchin In reply to Ninja-art-Seresuto [2012-10-22 15:10:20 +0000 UTC]

It was the 15th of August. And thank you.

Really? That's the only thing different legally at 18? Here in the US, they suddenly thrust almost every single legal right/responsibility on you at 18! That means voting, military service, smoking, property ownership, rifle/shotgun possession, and a few other assorted things. (Except drinking, handgun possession, and gambling, all of which I look forward to doing...in moderation. That comes at 21.)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ninja-art-Seresuto In reply to Thunderchin [2012-10-23 03:48:48 +0000 UTC]

Oops, I forgot about voting Lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it), it's illegal to own a gun in Australia at ANY age. Haven't even thought about property ownershop and stuff yet! But I'm looking forward to it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thunderchin In reply to Ninja-art-Seresuto [2012-10-23 05:25:23 +0000 UTC]

Hey, it's perfectly alright. Politics are overblown as it is anyway. *sick and tired* *can't wait for the elections to bloody END ALREADY* For me? Unlucky. Hunting and target practice are rather fun, and I wouldn't recommend breaking into this house. (I know, I know, Yankees love guns and all that stereotype...sorry about that. )

And I look forward to property ownership as well, assuming I get a well-paying job to afford it all.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ninja-art-Seresuto In reply to Thunderchin [2012-10-24 08:25:52 +0000 UTC]

That's okay, loving guns is an interesting stereotype! ... and better than many Australian ones Is your house rather well equipped then? I remember once, when I was about twelve, some random guys started banging on our front door when I was home alone, so I hid in the kitchen holding one of the carving knives

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thunderchin In reply to Ninja-art-Seresuto [2012-10-24 15:46:43 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, the American stereotypes are interesting if rather annoying. If other nations are to be believed, us Yanks are just a bunch of loud, obnoxious wildcards that go around everywhere like we own the place, eat massive quantities of food and alcohol, and scratch our itchy trigger fingers at damn near anything.

Yeah, it's armed, and we've been stockpiling ammo ever since our current President got elected. He's been increasing ammo taxes EXORBITANTLY...he's a gun control freak. (From my cold dead hands, Mr. President.)

Don't think for a second that people like that would be afraid of a knife. Obviously they don't fear the law (they're breaking it), so they must be taught to fear the citizen. They see a knife, they think "hey, I'm stronger than her, and she doesn't know how to use it effectively". Whereas they see a gun, they think, "Holy shit, he can hit me from across the room and there's nothing I can do except shoot back which I'm too cowardly to do because I'm a criminal". Which is why I'm glad I got (speaking of our original topic) a gun of my own for my 18th birthday.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ninja-art-Seresuto In reply to Thunderchin [2012-10-25 07:52:56 +0000 UTC]

Wow, you have your OWN gun? That's awesome! Out of curiosity, are guns difficult to aim?
And hopefully if someone tried to break into my house today, I could fight them off myself - I got my black belt in Taekwondo last year! (although I do admit, a gun would be nice-out of reaching distance and everything)
Also out of curiosity - what are the perceived notions that Americans have about Australians, if any?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thunderchin In reply to Ninja-art-Seresuto [2012-10-25 16:10:09 +0000 UTC]

Yes, it is awesome. And yes, they CAN be difficult to aim. Depends on the gun itself, its weight, its sights, the particular situation, and recoil. Practice makes perfect, and I've sent quite a lot of rounds downrange in my life. (Been shooting since I was seven.)

Yes, they are good distance tools, and they also have a psychological factor.

And as for your curiosity, I've not heard many Australian stereotypes outside video games. Mostly, we seem to think of you guys as rough and tough survivalists who can live among the kangaroos and dingoes out in the Outback.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ninja-art-Seresuto In reply to Thunderchin [2012-10-26 00:29:13 +0000 UTC]

So, when you say you've been shooting since you were seven, do you mean just target pratice or hunting and stuff? Either way, its pretty cool! And the strerotype, whilst sounding a bit out there, is true for most Aussies... I actually have kangaroos living just up the road from my house - and I live in an urban area!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thunderchin In reply to Ninja-art-Seresuto [2012-10-26 02:01:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it does sound "out there", play some TF2 as the Sniper and you'll get the Aussie stereotype...

Yea, it is pretty cool. Deer meat is that bit sweeter with the taste of victory behind it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ninja-art-Seresuto In reply to Thunderchin [2012-10-27 01:48:04 +0000 UTC]

I've never tasted deer, but I'll take your word for it!
If people do hunt here, it's usually for kangaroo and...well, that's about it. There are more roos in Aus than people, so it's okay.
This is a weird question, but I'm curious so, while we are on the subject of national stereotypes... are American highschools really as...well, I don't want to say cliche, but are they really how they are represnted in TV? It looks so much more STRESSFUL than school here!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Thunderchin In reply to Ninja-art-Seresuto [2012-10-27 06:48:16 +0000 UTC]

And they are stressful, mainly because most high schoolers here try to make school like it is on TV. Which is why I'm glad I got the fuck out of there.

No worries! This may be a little of an odd request, and I don't know if someone has already asked you, but could I write this from Samus' point of view? Of course, I will credit you with the storyline, and probably all the Halo stuff, as I have never played a day of it in my life. (I'm more a metroid person)
