yeah, i got it recently for my birthday, it is a great camera! especially if its your first non-compact. Its got all the great features of a proper SLR, but is leightweight and small-ish. It has macro and SUPER MACRO, which i spent hours playing with when i first got it. It doesn't have a manual focus (i.e. when you twist the lens to focus) but you can point at different objects and half press the shutter button to get different focuses. All other aspects you can alter manually, it also has a smart panoramic setting, which is just plain awsome. It only takes SD cards. It takes 4 AA batteries, so it can be quite expensive to keep buying batteries, unless you have recharge-ables. Panasonic batteries, however, can last a very long time with this camera!

i highly recomend this bridge camera :S

Can I just use any kind of rechargeable AA's? I don't really get how that works, I've never used rechargeables before.

well when you buy recharables for the first time, you buy them with a charging "pod" of sorts. You plug the poc into the socket and put the batteries into it, and it fills them up with energy, use them in the camera, and when they run out, put them back in the charger and fill 'em up again! simples eh? would probably be an idea to get 8 recharables, then while you're using 4 in the camera the other 4 can charge, then when they run out, you can just use the others and don't have to wait for the empty ones to refill
