# About me

I still have a mind. It's just a damaged one.

My friends, 12 years of schooling on an excitably nerdy level has taken its toll. Well, not just 12 years of school, but 15 years of dance, 11 years of theater, and 18 years of being a total somethingorother. A Jack (or Jill, as the case may be) of all trades. I have more in common with Gonzo the Great than a girl who might sit next to me on the bus. This, however, isn't a problem, largely because I do not ride the bus.

Anywho, about moi. I enjoy writing, drawing, dancing, singing, musical theater, riding and training horses, being self-employed, cosplay, Edith Wharton, Claude Frollo, Jason Isaacs, British accents, good poetry, bad boys (largely literary, and none of this namby-pamby Edward Cullen stuff), music and making it, cats, foxes, wolves, myths and legends, God, and YOU, my deviant friends. Thanks for being part of what makes my world go 'round. :)

Favourite genre of music: Oh geeze. I have tastes that range from Lady Gaga to Loreena McKennit to Antonio Vivaldi.
Operating System: Windows Vista. I wantsa Mac. . .
MP3 player of choice: iPod touch
Shell of choice: I like conches and nautiluses. Oh wait, not those types of shells. . .
Skin of choice: My own.
Favourite cartoon character: Claude Frollo or Captain Amelia

I made the jacket, altered an old white turtleneck, already owned the riding breeches, and bought the boots and gloves. I'm thinking about selling the outfit sans breeches and turtleneck (because it's janky) if you're interested!

Well, I am kind of trying to see if I can buy the pieces I didnt' have... but now that I kind of don't have a job that could pay for it (or much of anything else really), I don't know that I would be making a wise decision... but thanks anyways! your impression of her was spot on! out of curiosity, how much would you ask?

Are you good with styling wigs? I have a wig that I'm going to style for Afest... but I am clueless to how I am going to do that without destroying the wig since I have no experience with the wig. If I showed you a picture of the character... would you tell me how you'd do it? I have a 40 in wig and I just want an opinion from someone who have experince in cosplays...

oh my GOSH your captain amelia cosplay is freaking great xD i've been trying to get one together for the past month now but it's HELL to do. i can understand if you'd rather not tell me, but where did you get your wig? it's flawless D: so yeah. you're fabulous. just throwin that out there.

Hahaha why thank you! :D (Big Grin) It's pretty tricky at first. To be honest, I used a wig that I found at Party City. >_> I just pulled some of the fibers from the ear flaps out and freeze sprayed them for the sideburns, and I folded the bangs back and freeze sprayed those until they stayed. Since her hairline isn't straight across the front, I folded some bangs back a little less than others so the line would curve. In the future (*hopefully* within the next year, but I keep saying this and it never happens), I'm going to remake it and use a wig without bangs and make a false hairline, I think. It would look much cleaner than just folding bangs back, which made the front of the wig kind of messy. But thank you SO much for your comment!!! You're much too kind. <3

freaking SWEET! you've got no idea how much this helped- now all i need is to get my hands on some of those awesome boots (which shouldn't be too hard) and make the jacket and BAM. instantaneous bad ass. but THANK YOU SO MUCH! i should be posting pictures of the makeup test thing i did tonight so if you want, you can check those out :D (Big Grin) i'm so excited to see your new wig! you're a legend. <33

It's my pleasure! :D (Big Grin) I used some Pleaser boots (it was SO awkward ordering anything called a "Seduce3000" <-- I *think* this was the name of the shoe), but I think in the future I might try boot covers. Iunno. And I'd love to see your makeup test, lady! You're too sweet!! <3

pahaha oh my gosh i can understand your pain xD my mom walked in on my googling "thigh high boots" and she was like "YA NASTY AS HELL." but i explained and now she's all "stripper boots FTW."
