WillM3luvTrains [2017-04-12 21:10:53 +0000 UTC]
These are a couple of examples of crossing gates with breakaways and gate-gards, both in Tucson.
This crossing gate at 7th AvenueΒ willm3luvtrains.deviantart.comβ¦ has a breakaway pin, so does the other one. In fact this is the same signal that had it's gate busted through that I had to report to the police (that was back in 2008 and when this crossing had incandescent lights and slanted stripe gates) Same crossing and same signalΒ willm3luvtrains.deviantart.comβ¦
This crossing at 9th Avenue at 6th Street has a gate-gard, or something which unlike the break-aways is supposed to keep the gate in place even when some buffoon rams into it.Β willm3luvtrains.deviantart.comβ¦ This is on 6th Street (I also added Lincoln Loud to the picture)Β willm3luvtrains.deviantart.comβ¦ But the gates at this crossing they don't have, or don't look like they have break-away adapters.Β
Extra example: I know this crossing gate has a gate-gard from Western Cullen Hayes www.rxrsignals.com/Arizona/Tuc⦠This is on the former Prince Road crossing www.rxrsignals.com/Arizona/Tuc⦠(now an overpass)
On a side note, sorry you're not doing artwork or taking photos anymore, must be hard to keep up with. Someday this could be me. But maybe hopefully you'll be back, if you want to.

It seems never. Lol. You seriously need to come out to Chesterton sometime, though you would probably have to drive it, since it's a 2 mile trip from NICTD to the NS main. Ah well.Β
My Camera is still in the shop, probably just waiting on a pickup.

I don't know if you have heard, but Nickel Plate #765 will be in the Chicago area this month. She will be on display in Franklin Park for the Railroad Daze on June 11, then will lead an excursion from Glen of the North Glenview, IL to Janesville, WI on June 12. The weekend of June 25-26, 765 will be leading a set of excursions from Chicago Union Station to Galesburg, IL via Naperville, ILΒ for the Galesburg Rail Days.

Thanks man, I'm coming to Chicago on the 11th to talk to the VA. Since I have no understanding of the CTA/bus system in chicago, if I gave you an address would you be able to help me figure out which bus/es i should take?
