Chapter 19
Cowboys and Indians
In a desperate bid to save his friends, Dondun and Fostep, Akiva was shot down over the wastes of the war-torn countryside. While trying to stay ahead of the savage blue men, Akiva found the dying Lodun, who warned of the attack on the Zonaga fort. Eventually Akiva discovered the ship at anchor, with Dondun alive, the crew dead, and Fostep and Tingam gone. A party of green men boarded the ship, and...
“The engines are cold!” Dondun shouted. “We'll never get them up and running in time.”
Lookouts posted at the lower walkways reported that the hoard of blue savages already began to fill the canyon. Akiva and Dondun discussed the matter in frantic tones, gathered in the dim and bridge of the dormant battleship. Hotep and the other escaped green slaves pledged to aid them.
