Hi Mark, I stumbled across your gallery by chance. Great work. You might not remember me, but we actually have met in person. I sat next to you at the Advertising Academy back in 1994, in the days when graphic art was still done with pen, set squares, knife and that glue that smelt like petrol. You were reading the Douglas Adams novel "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency".

I still go past what used to be the Advertising Academy. The street has changed a lot over 19 years. I read "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" a couple of years ago. It's actually recycled from a couple of Douglas Adams's "Dr. Who" scripts!

There’s a couple of things you could do that I can think of this early in the morning , you can remove the edge in photoshop using an alpha map as a guide and airbrush the background, which is normally what I do if needed. Or you could create a stage/backdrop curved wall like a studio stage. Another option is to use a Fog Effect for the background which works quite well, just make sure you match the fog with the background colour.
