Thank you!  I don't know why we haven't set up a folder in the Favorites sooner so I can pick out the commissions and gifts we have had drawn and painted of Eva and friends, but I just did that now.  In about 6-7 years of Final Fantasy XIV roleplay she has had many experiences and we have had a lot of fun working with many of these artists.    I think I have made most of them Favorites and added them to a new folder now:  purple1980.deviantart.com/favo…

I know you asked this over a month ago and I'm sorry I didn't see it until just now!  That character is Eva - probably the most played of our Final Fantasy XIV characters.  We are a group of role-players on the Balmung server and that is sort of how this character exists and intermingles with others who also play the game and intermingle with one another.  My husband and I have a handful of characters we share and play together, but Eva is probably our most complex and most favorite.  I can write whole paragraphs about her easily but I'll try to keep it brief.

Eva is now 35 years old and works as a priestess, advisor, and counselor.  She is a firm believer in fate/destiny.  She is of the elezen race, and the duskwight clan - which are sort of like cave-dwelling elves sort of.  Her skin is sort of ashen-toned, accordingly.  She has sort of a tragic backstory, but plods on and maintains a sort of optimistic, but also cynical outlook on things.  She is very practical and down-to-earth, but also very compassionate.  She spent most of her youth and early 20's overweight but now has a very buxom figure, about which she is generally very humble, and even a little embarrassed.  She has some training with polearms - halberd and lances - her father's weapon of choice.  She usually looks for non-violent alternatives to physical conflict wherever possible though but is willing and able to defend herself and her loved ones.  She has two children (they're twins, 18 months old - a boy named Dalenforte and a girl named Oliviette).  Their father was lost in a cave-in and presumed dead before they were born.  She has held jobs as a bookkeeper, treasurer, quartermistress, and weaver/seamstress.

In the commissioned picture that you linked, she is giving a blessing.  The symbols all have meanings (each of the Twelve deities is represented by a symbol, the spinning wheel being the symbol of Nymeia - the matron deity of fate, the stars, and weaving).  It remains one of our favorite depictions of Eva and we have printed a copy to canvas and it hangs in our computer room to admire while we play.

Incidentally I like your name, and we are both fans of C.S. Lewis' Narnia books (and movies).

Thank you dear. I'm glad that she can be seen as more than just pixels on a screen. I am glad that you like the art commissions that we have had done. I can only really write stories, so I appreciate the talent of those who can take words and mold them beautifully into something more. I also love seeing how different artists interpret Eva - and our other characters as well!
