Fushigi Yugi belongs to Yuu Watase
Houki sighed. Hotohori had yet to arrive to their bedchamber.
Her wedding night, and yet she had to wonder if her new husband wished for another by his side.
She couldnβt imagine why he wouldnβt. From what she knew, her husband had fallen for The Priestess if Suzaku.
But the Priestess had fallen for another. And rejection from someone you love had to be hurtful.
Still, she wanted to do all she could, to help her husband, and the Hong-Nan Empire. And Hotohori was said to deeply care about his empire, which was event by the lack of poverty.
And maybe one day, they could at least care for one another.
But it was to be expected for her too bare a child eventually. And given what she had witnessed, children fared better if the parents had mutual affection for one another.
And when she did have a child, it would be the future ruler of Hong-Nan. If it grew up in a stable environment, surely it would influence him or her when they grew older.
