Hi, sorry it's taken like 8 months to reply, but I hardly use this site anymore.  Everything you see here is done using pencils, coloured pencils, water colours and acrylic paints.  I might be uploading some more art in the near future as I've just started to do some new sketches.  Thanks for the comments, take care -rich

Thank you very much.  I love painting at the moment, but it is still rather new to me.  You know what?  I couldn't stand the thought of using anything other then traditional materials.  I really do think that there is some exceptional digital art out there, honestly I do, but very rarely would I add it to my favourites because I love the idea of using paints and paper, canvas, board and pencils.  Digital art seems sterile to me, even though it is still art and very good art at that.   I also noticed your invitation to your group and your requests, I will gladly accept, thank you very much.  Take care -rich

I used to feel that way, until i experimented with digital - it can feel absolutely the same, and then i felt like i was being absilly elitist

Don't let such impressions limit you. If anything, digital media can be used as a learning tool, since you can practice and get out of your confort zone without wasting expensive paint!

I looked at your poll, but it's very hard to explain in just 'one' word why a person is creative in any form.  Even 'other' is inedaquate because it is ambiguous.  I would have chosen 'other' if any because of this, so I dont really know how I would choose because I felt that every option available cannot adequately summarise my personal feelings towards my art.

I think art is very personal for many people.  Sometimes we draw for other people, sometimes we draw or paint for ourselves, sometimes it's because we're bored with everything else, sometimes because we want it to have meaning or convey some kind of message.  Sometimes we just don't know, but most of the time it is for the simple pleasure that art can give us on a personal level.
