I do not really I have a single favorite anime or video game, so I will list the ones and particularly fond of in regards to aesthetics, story and emotional attachment.

Iβll do anime first (this excludes anime movies and standalone OVAs):

Visually, some of my favorite anime are Ergo Proxy, Amnesia, Soul Eater, Haganai, Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet and a great deal more, but Iβll be here all day listing them seeming that Iβve watched hundreds of anime.

When it comes to plot, Iβm a big fan of Death Note, Code Geass, Darker than Black, Eden of the East, Future Diary, Baccano! and β once again β a whole bunch more!

Onto emotional attachment! Clannad, Angel Beats, Elfen Lied and Puella Magi Madoka Magica really take the cake on this one. ;-; Sah sad! I grew up watching Dragon Ball, so I find it rather nostalgic to watch.

Aesthetically, the prettiest games I have played over the years are the Crysis series, Bioshock series, Assassins Creed series, Borderlands series and Mirrors Edge. Some of these games have brought about or popularized revolutionary graphics such as physically based shaders, parallax occlusion mapping and cel shading to name a few β let alone their beautiful and immersive environments.

Along with their awesome gameplay, the Halo series, Grand Theft Auto games, Mass Effect series and Elder Scroll games have rich continuities that just keep me coming back to playing them. I mainly like free roam games that offer you choices whilst playing that impact the story.

Mass Effect really got me with its emotional attachment to characters as you really build up your own team and establish relationships of varying degrees with each member. βTwas like a happy little family until the plot had to come in tear my heart out! D:

Ah well, I know that I left many games and anime series of this list to keep it short, but basically what Iβm saying is that I love all kinds genres, stories and art styles!

For me the whole game thing is easier since I really started gaming not more than three years ago. (But it still feels like eternity xD)
The first game I became really attached to was Skyrim, so naturally I love the TES series.
Assassins Creed followed as soon as I got my PS3 two years ago.
I also really like the Witcher and Dragon Age for their interesting plots and beautiful worlds.
I just realized that I actually forgot PokΓ©mon!
Ever since I played Sapphire I fell in love with the games.
A series with great story is Tales of, for the created world is full of wonders and mysteries.
As for animes... I'm not quite sure.
I think I read mangas more that I watch animes but Digimon and One Piece were part of my childhood. Later I started with reading Fairy Tail. I also read Soul Eater and some parts of Elfen Lied.Naturally I started with Attack on Titan and to be honest I don't really remember everything I've read for it's far too much.
I watched a lot of different animes and liked most of them.
Even though it is an old one, Black Jack is wonderful.
For movies I got to say that Summer Wars really touched me. The story is wonderful balanced between the real and a digital world.
And the list of things I want to watch is still long!

I also loved to watch Digimon as kid! I'll probably re-watch it all when the new 'Digimon Adventure tri.' series comes outs fully. As for One Piece, I've wanted to watch it, but the sheer amount episodes makes itΒ too muchΒ to commit to at this time!
If you're quite fond of The Elder Scroll games, perhaps you'd be interested in the Fallout games as well? They are made by the same developers on the same game engine too, so they also retain the vast non procedural environments, but with a post apocalyptic theme.
Ah yes, Summer Wars certainly is an excellent anime movie! For me, it's right up there with a bunch of the studio Ghibli movies and a few more such as 'Welcome to the Space Show', 'Highlander - The Search for Vengeance' and 'King of Thorn'.

You should definitely watch One Piece, itΒ΄s great! But youΒ΄re right, that is a lot. To be honest I havenΒ΄t watched all the episodes myself.
Fallout sounds interesting. There actually are a lot of games I want to try, IΒ΄ll add this to the list.
And for amine movies? Ghibli rules! The work of this studio is certainly wonderful.
