Of course, sorry for the late reply.Β Β "Would" just had that eerie, slightly desolate feel about it- like the conversations between post-apocalyptic characters or the everyday down and out people strugglingΒ while feeling trapped. It was also a little hopeful toward the end-subjectively hopeful, anyway. But, yeah. You're welcome and good work.

ha, well i don't 'hate' them. there are some pretty good bands from then, but my taste leans more toward the surrounding decades.

The 80s are just so much bigger on the social consciousness scale, though. Most of the 70s is hardly appreciated now. Sadly.

Well, it was a big transition period. Jazz and its variants finally fell off its popularity perch and got firmly supplanted by a more rock-oriented sound. It was Hollywood's silver age when movies started getting the huge budgets they have now - nearly all of them featuring contemporary music. The high school movie came into vogue, cartoons got better budgets and animators, and the people who grew up with those have gotten to the age where they're in positions to control the entertainment industry, just in time for remakes to be a big thing in Hollywood.
So yeah.
