I'm not trying to be a dick. What I said is 100% factual...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RE: "everything was clean and all." Just to prove my point:
-Do you use an FDA rated disinfectant cleaner formulated to kill stuff like HIV, HepatitisAB&C, MRSA, Staph, and TB on contact? (BTW bleach, ammonia, and/or boiling wont do it either, and you can't buy the shit that does from a grocery store...)
-Do you use an autoclave to sterilize all equipment directly exposed to potential blood born pathogens? (Again; bleach, ammonia, and/or boiling shit aren't good enough substitutes. Moreover, the cheapest little speed-claves run btwn $600-1000, so I'm guessing you don't have one...).
-Do you spore test whatever sterilization equipment you do use, on a monthly basis, and have it verified by a certified laboratory testing service?
-Are you using supplies from reputable companies known for meeting all industry standards (i.e. not Chinese made/un-FDA approved, knock-off E-bay shit-kits)?
-Do you know the acceptable state suggested health & safety practices for stuff like; setting up equipment/cross-contamination prevention/contaminated bio-waste management and disposal/etc...?
-Do you use unexpired/pre-sterilized/medical-grade equipment and supplies at all times?
Medical/Health/safety is an immensely important part of apprenticing and working in a legit shop. So, with all that being said, honestly ask yourself how you answered most of those questions, I think you'll realize my case and point if you are honest with yourself.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bear this in mind too; with regard to the legality issue, if you get popped (...which does happen, make no mistake about that) it may only be a $300 ordinance violation ticket, however, it will remain on your record for at least 7 years (potentially longer). This matters because if you ever try to get legitimately licensed as an apprentice in a real tattoo shop, your state's/county's/city's health department and/or officials in charge can and will deny you a license. That = No Professional Tattoo Career for you duder
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last, and actually to some degree least important of all the aforementioned stuff, although still pretty significant; artistry and craftsmanship are a big part of the tattoo tradition/industry. I'll interject here and say to clarify I'm not saying you're a terrible artist or anything, so don't take the fallowing the wrong way. You simply lack experience and instruction, so the stuff you're putting on these people now is probably not the best work you are capable of doing someday, and with a little guidance and education it'd most likely be better planned and executed work. There's a lot of really bad habits people pick up scratching that can fuck people up. Why give bad or even mediocre tattoo work to people, ecspecially you like, lol?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm just trying to save you from a really potentially-bad scenario playing out, which may very well seriously jeopardize you and/or your client's quality of life/health/career/happiness/futures/etc...for real, bad shit happens to good people all the time, so I'm not suggesting you're a bad person for doing what you're doing, and I sincerely doubt you think giving your dad/mom/brother/sister/BF/or BFF Hep-C is worth cheap tattoo experience cuz you're impatient, so stop.
If you are really serious about tattooing; it's a regulated skilled commercial trade that you should be working towards learning in a legit shop, and you can get there by doing the right stuff (i.e. practice drawing, get tattoos, talk to atists, etc...) instead of scratching up your people and putting them/you in a dangerous position. Take my advice or leave it, that's up to you dude, food for thought...

When I said "everything is clean and all", I know it's not clean up to good enough standards.
-I buy sterile supplies from a not-cheap supplier, and dont use anything thats expired.
-I'm aware how illegal it is, and I know for a fact I will never become a real tattoo artist, so if I DID get caught, it wouldn't matter for the becoming a licensed tattoo artist part.
-I'm aware that tattoo ARTIST means that you need to be a good artist. I know my art looks like something a middle school kid would draw. So far, nothing I've tattooed on people are something of my own creation. Obviously you still need to be able to draw to transfer someone elses work like that, but they know what's up, that I'm not amazing.
I understand how ridiculously stupid I'm being about this, but sorry, I'm going to continue to be stupid.
Thank you again for your concern.

You should stop playing at kitchen wizard tattoo artist before you give someone hepatitis. Practice drawing a lot more, build a solid portfolio, and then apprentice. It is illegal and dangerous to continue doing what you're doing. If you truly care for these people you are tattooing, you'd stop...

Kitchen wizard tattoo?
First off, I'm aware of what could happen. I was scared of the consequences at first, but went ahead and bought the machine and such, and practiced on fake skin. That stuff is difficult to tattoo and doesn't really resemble actual skin. I was super hesitant to do real skin, but I watched millions of videos and tv shows on tattooing(yes I know it's NOTHING like a real apprenticeship, but its better than hacking at skin with NO knowledge), and tried my shot at it on my boyfriends leg. I was making sure everything was clean and all. Just a few weeks ago I got my bloodborne pathogen and first aid certificates, paid a buttload for them. Yes I know it's nothing but a piece of paper and still unsafe, but until I get my GED I'm going to be stupid. Thank you for the concern, you don't seem to be straight out insulting me like other people, so I appreciate you not just going off on me and suggesting to build my portfolio and such. Thank you.
