Oh, it is a very pretty game. But the targeting system is from the special level of hell. ... and I wasn't impressed by the characters or the plot overly much either. Which was a shame.

The trailer for the second one is mighty tasty looking, but it is just a cinematic. It does kind of make me want to try the first game, but based on what you said I think I'll look for it in the bargain bin.

The different platforms also all have different problems, or so I understand. (I have the PC version.) One thing I think is probably an issue across all of them is how the boss battles are handled: you go from over-the-shoulder, limmited-third-person POV to something that looks like Smash Brothers or Mortal Combat, so all the directional buttons you were used to using now have different meanings. I wanted to murder whoever thought that was a good design decision.
... um, done now. And Jaq's a better assassin anyway. Starkiller wades through hordes of soldiers to get to his targets, boy's not doing something right.

I'm submitting my Scary Atton series one piece at a time in chronological order (not the order I wrote them in, but ah well). I decided not to flood everyone's inboxes with it, though, so only a few per day (I'm editing/cleaning as I submit them).
From when ~Uilleand coined the term "scary Atton" to describe this guy to the way so many people have embraced him and his beautiful, broken perfection --> You guys are amazing, this group is amazing, and I can't wait to see more from everyone!

Ok, have you guys had the problem I did? I've gone through three graphics cards and Kotor 2 won't work. Help?

After that's installed, right-click the KotOR icon, select "properties", then "compatibility". Choose "Run this program in Windows XP SP2".
You can try just changing compatibility mode first and that might work. I installed the patch then set the compatibility mode, and was able to run it.

Gha! This is so frustrating! Switched computers and the new keyboard is too awkward for me to type too much on - all my fics are on hold! I have the half finished entry for the last mini challenge waiting in the wings and then this one comes up and I am surrounded by plot bunnies and unable to do anything about them!! GAHHHAAA!!
*sobs*
I'll be getting a new USB keyboard soon! I must!
