If you're a member of a website called Tumblr, you'd find tons of animated gifs I make of YouTubers though. Sometimes I do that instead of drawing.

Ah, I am currently actually working on Tom Hiddleston and I am trying to put lots of more effort into his colouring. I have issues with beards though.

And yes, in a layer, perhaps make it transparent and then draw.

Hair is indeed troublesome. Straight hair is rather easy, curls and beards get hard... stubbles are the worst though, no idea how to draw that. xD

Good good! Perhaps try like I then. :3 I only got mine like two weeks too, but whenever I don't draw on photos you'll see my skills are less.

it will be great I have been reading my book of it in antisapation

if you wont to work on your skills a little try having the layer up but close the photo layer just befor you draw bring it back up every now and then to help you then close it agen (should help a little more with your skills)
eventuly you can move to having the photo in a side app like I work [link]


Oh yes I can draw hair ok if its long now stubble I have no idea or I would try and help

2 weeks? wow ive had mine a few months
keep practising though and youll get them like you wont I dont draw on the photo but I still need to see what im drawing or it looks not as good myself

Oh nice. :3 I only finished the book a few weeks ago, to be honest. I'm not good with reading, even when I really want to.

You mean look at it, but when you draw you don't? I think that having the image elsewhere would be better so I can look at it constantly when drawing. xD It's just that MacBook screens are so darn small.

Always challenge yourself is what I learnt.

That's okay. I'd have to be able to see what I want to draw as well if I want to go for a realistic style. xD

Oh if thats to much you can plot out some marker points on the picture? then remove that layer and draw with the picture at the side? (I draw a picture by hand and copy it into a layer and draw over that sometimes?)
