You should maybe try downloading open canvas v1.01? Their watercolour tool is very similar to what I use. And it's an extremely basic programme, even more basic than shi-painter.

Oh, what version of PS do you use? I use this really really really old version called Adobe photo elements 4. I use only one brush for everything and it's in the default set.
It's pretty much just a solid brush with the pressure and opacity setting set to pen pressue.

I use PS elements 6.0. So thats how you color/shade your pictures? Im impressed ^_^ Thanks so much for sharing that with me, cause I've been having a hard time shading the way i want in PS.

Ah! Then it should have the same brush I use in the default brushes.
And yeah, the trick is not really the brush but the colours you use, an dalso I colour from darkest to lightest as oppoed to midtones-shading-highlights etc.
If you just search "skin swatches" on here, you'll find lots of great palettes for skin tones. very useful
