I am still weighing the work, verse value.Β Β I have the characters created but from what I have seen the comics like at comicfury and such get so little input it may not be as fun as I thought.Β Nothing worse than spending a few hundred hours just to hear crickets. I guess I'll just see how it shakes out.

I've self-published a few issues. I stopped because it was a lot of work (I was spending almost 40 hours a week on it).
BUT ...
While I was making those, worked on them for almost a whole year, there were times when it was fun just learning things about making a comic book, the work itself was rewarding for most of the time i was doing it, and even now I'm happy that I did as much as I did on it.
I stopped mainly for two reasons, to get some time to do other things, and stop killing myself working what basically amounted to a second full-time job that wasn't making any money.
Now I just work whenever I feel like working on my anthology issues, and an illustrated short story format works better for me as a writer/illustrator. There was something about working on a singular story line that had me always going "got to work on the next issue", whereas now when I finish I either go "oh, now I got an even better idea", or "I need a break" and nobody is really waiting for the next issue to find out what happens.
I'll always make time to comment on another fellow comic-book-starter-upper.
