# About me

Jonathan “Jonny Omega” Mata (born 1981) is an artist with a background in graphic design, fine art, animation, and sculpting. His style incorporates a fusion of both Japanese Manga and Western Comic and expresses itself uniquely with great detail and distinct personality. His work mostly focuses on, though not limited to, female pin-ups. Jonathan’s influences are many and diverse but counts among them such classical artists like Leonardo Da Vinci and Alphonse Mucha as well as modern contemporaries like Jim Lee, J. Scott Campbell, and Joe Madureira as most notable. He studied for one year at Brooks college before transferring to Art Institute of North Hollywood, where he has completed his studies and earned his Bachelor's degree in June 2013. He is currently the Lead Designer for the NBA Los Angeles Lakers’ development league organization, the Los Angeles D-Fenders, and spends his free time perfecting his craft in freelance commission and independent projects.
