I'm so very sorry that you have to wait for your mystery parcel for a bit longer. A lot of things happened, like my cat's suddenly needing an urgent surgery or the car needing some things to not give up forever. ]: I ate it to let you wait. I want to send you that parcel, but always when I have enough money for such things, some... almighty, jealous entity or so sends me evil wishes and disturbs my real life chill. Dx

You do? I've only met two other people born in September. xD It's not very common here: the vast majority is born in March.

It's 30/9... I feel like a headless chicken running back and forth trying to think of what to do. x') All the food I gotta cook and all the allergies/GI-tract diseases I gotta take into account for my guests... Birthdays are a bother. ^_^' (Congrats to your hubby!)

I think I know seven, including my father and my husband. Late Winter/Early Spring here is definitely a big time for having babies too...I know 15 people including relatives with January birthdays, 8 people in February, and 11 in March. But I only really do things for a few people's birthdays (besides well wishing) so it's not too bad, haha.

Headless chicken! xD In the South US, we say "chicken with its head cut off". I didn't know that was a really wide spread idea. You have to cook for your birthday? That does sound like a pain! I usually have people wait on me hand and foot. Or at least go out somewhere.

Hehehe he's finally reached my age! Now we get to share it for a few more months before I pull ahead again. We went to one of those arcade/pizza buffets and it was pretty fun, though we did bring the toddlers (my daughter and my niece), who both decided to have meltdowns at inconvenient times. Next time I think we'll go without them so we can do more things...

(I'm the go-to chef/patissier for quite a few people's birthdays. x'D) Oh it would be so nice to have people wait on me. x9 Circumstances just don't really make that or going out an option. Most of my friends struggle with Aspberger's and concentration/memory issues and none of them is really up for the task of cooking/organising. Since there's also many with social anxiety and food allergies/severe Crohn's disease we can't really find any place that serves the right food/provides the proper privacy. ^_^' It's easier for everyone if I just cook stuff they can eat and serve it in a familiar environment.

Really? I thought the chicken saying was a thing in every place where people kept hens for food. =o Never knew how exactly how it was put in English though. "Headless chicken" isn't really what we say, more like "necked chicken" - "nacka" is the verb for an abrupt, swift motion that cuts through something or chops something off. I don't know, could you say "necked" and make it work as a word? >u>'

"One of those arcade/pizza buffets" doesn't tell me much since that's not a thing here. ^u^' I'm assuming it is what it sounds like, though I don't have a clue what type of games you can play in an arcade now. Not kids' games, I'm guessing?

Aw, you sound like such a sweetheart! I feel downright selfish in comparison. Though be fair to myself, when I do things for people I usually go all out. I'm kind of glad I'm not the go-to cook though. If I'm not in the mood for it I find it rather tedious (especially the cleaning of the dishes afterwards :/). But it can be rather exciting planning a big meal and having it all work out as intended ^_^

Haha, that make sense...it'd be more common in rural areas I would think, since at least in the US you can't have chickens everywhere and some don't even know they come in colors other than white! xD No, no, no, no, you could not! Though we might be able to grasp it from context, neck as a verb means to make out...though I doubt anyone would think that you were talking about a chicken that had been made out with. In fact they'd probably think you were saying "naked". And by they I mean me. I'd probably think you were talking about running around like a naked chicken. Which admittedly would probably be a pretty irritated chicken so perhaps it works out!

Well damn. American excess strikes again! Er...they're basically places that are half restaurant/video game arcades. Except all the ones I've been to were 'all-you-can-eat' pizza restaurants. They had arcade games for all ages, with prize games (they'd give you tickets that you could spend on things) and such as well as go-karts, bumper cars, laser tag, and stuff like that. The problem was the children are at that age where they just can't handle having to wait around to do stuff (there were lines). But I got to take Leona on her first go-kart ride, and she loved it, haha.

Hi again. ^_^ Thought I'd let you know that I'm back, and thank you for the hugs. I laid flowers on my friend's grave yesterday. I hadn't known what to expect of the visit except that I'd cry a lot (I did. A lot. When I got home I discovered that my face was literally streaked white with salt.), but it turned out to be the best thing I could have done. I got to cry until I was satisfied, shout at her until I was satisfied, ask her things and tell her things that I never got to say, and have the year's first spring picnic with her. I had a lengthy mono-dialogue as I ate, hoping that she could hear me, and in the end... she had left the world, but she hadn't left me, and we agreed that things were okay. I left feeling cleansed and at peace.
