well if you aren't the hottest lunatic I've ever seen in my life. Pray tell, WHERE have you been?
By you, I mean your poems (obviously I saw you yesterday). Am I needy? Yes. The life of an addict is never dull, or satiated. So take pity on me woman, and scrawl your lunacy onto a paper so I can have a fix, yeah?

You caught me. I just really need a caffeine fix. But dang, look at those words of truth up there. Gotham needs you.

Some are my cloud children. I'm allowing you a supervised visit. :

Art of Sleeping - I'm Not The One
Waves - Luna Shadows
Whisper Something - Aaron Sprinkle (For some reason, whenever I hear the chorus my mind chimes, "Close your damn eyes." Let's be honest, that's kind of how I am: some gruff kind of 'shut up and let me love you.' How romantic lol. Lucky you already love me, so you are used to the abuse. There's no escape!)
Effort - James Spaite
Exorcism - Clarity
Emotional Anorexic - Svavar Knútur
Emily's Song - Joni Fatara
Burning House - EZA ft. Aaron Krause (I find it's chorus' tune is slightly reminiscent of Whisky Lullaby).
Willow Tree - Thomas J Speight (I want more from his voice, but I do like the lyrics and the simplistic acoustic atmosphere).
If I Belong - Thomas J Speight

I will not touch them inappropriately. I will not feed them icecream. Thank you, oh great supervisor. ("If I Belong" is an amazing song, and I was glad you had discovered it, too.) I really enjoyed these thanks.

Cinnamon - Jome
Traveling - Paper Lions (I was pretty sure you'd like this one: Seems your cuppa tea!)
Simple Things - Ziggy Alberts ( I fucking love Ziggy. Also, this reminds me of that one time I tried to get you to give me a piggy back in the lake near that weird, beautiful tiki bar on the dock. Just think, if you'd drowned me, you wouldn't have to put up with me. OH WELL! YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSE!)
Arrows - Roscoe James Irwin
The Bells - From Indian Lakes ()

Hey now. If this is about last night, I'll have you know it was just a moment of weakness. Temporary. I just left my shell for a bit. Y'know, occasionally you got to air that shit out.... no matter how embarrassing it may be. When you live like a hermit, a lot of clutter accumulates in your shell. The coconut shell, to be precise v_v

Somehow, José González just got stuck in the echoes: "Every trifle becoming big concerns. All this time you were chasing dreams, without knowing what you wanted them to mean. Who cares in a hundred years from now? All your small steps, all your shitty clouds... Cycling trivialities."

I still have that tunnel vision - except I do it ostrich style. Then I get my head out of the fucking sand, look at the sky and remember that it's not even blue, just a reflection of the ocean. Similarly, our perspective is but a reflection of our perception: what you take in has an affect on what you exude and produce. Society is just a cog in the gears of life, and I'll be damned if I take its reflection of me, or its assumptions of what I can and can't do. I may be surprisingly fragile, and easily manipulated, but I won't lay down for the machine. It'll have to eat me standing up. Bon appétit, assholes.

The key to survival? Sink or swim: hold your breath.
Okay. I'm sorry, Lewis. I got a tad (and very poorly) satirical there at the end.
Ah my social glory (you can just call me Social Jesus).  ...i'm sorry, but there is no salvation

Thank you.  I gave you an extra half for your Lewis Watson class.

You wise Gandalf. Of course your freakish eyes are eyebrow raising the clouds because sarcasm is indeed an offense to god. repent sinner. Yes you are all those things (white bread, though? Seriously?). You feed my inner-child. Like way too much food. But it keeps life fun, right? Otherwise I'd be all rainclouds and doomsdays thundering into some cynic's tea parlor. Then I'd have to become British, become a middle-aged man, develop a smoking habit (preferably with a pipe), and grow a bushy moustache...

I really have no idea what's going on, as per usual. You kind of hijacked my thought-train for a moment. It's kind of scary...

Oh snap, well now I'm racist.  remember me? Before the PC supporters show up and start drowning me in privilege and culture appropriation?  There's no repentance for me T^T ... and this is where we queue the religious missionaries and the salvation backing tracks.
I'm just digging my grave further, I think. I should probably stop now.

That's my specialty! and keeping people's inner children fat. That, too. ; )

Hey, I tanned slightly last year while supervising young children. Hence freckle-explosion, and I become a galaxy of potential skin cancer. I am so wheat bread.... just with some anemia?

So, hear me out, if you and I originated synonymously did you thrust your privilege upon me, thus depriving me of developing independently? No wonder I can't succeed in life! Also, you aren't even ashamed of the fact that you, continuing to this day, have so blatantly stolen and abused MY womb-culture.
I'll dig my grave next to yours...

Let's face it: We were offensive at birth. Born offenders of offense. But  I bring you revelation from the great inner deity of 'I Give No Fucks' as it is proclaimed: "Peace child. *pats head* You are but a plebeian in the ruins of society. Accept your fate as the chosen outcast. Meanwhile, you shall traipse outside of all that bullshit and achieve true liberation in my name!" End of message, blessed be the source.
I don't know about you but I quite enjoy performing such acts of sacrilege.

Nullibicity In reply to SoundlessWhispers [2016-04-01 13:45:20 +0000 UTC]

Well I did burn myself really bad that one time, too. Are we moldy pieces of bread? So, basically, moldy wheat bread?

This is the most brilliant thing I have heard all morning.
YOUR WOMB CULTURE WAS ALWAYS INFRINGING UPON MY EGG CULTURE; IT'S STILL DEBATEABLE WHETHER YOU GREW FROM ME OR WE JUST PUSHED EACH OTHER INTO SEPERATE CORNERS. YOU BRUISED MY LEG!!!!! CHECK YOUR OWN PRIVILEGE, YOU WOMB-CULTURED LEG BRUISER! Because of you, I lost 22 minutes of my life that I'll never get back T^T ... I can't speak of this anymore: it's too emotional.

..... we could form a protest group.

JUST kidding! But seriously, I'm fine with being the outcast: it's been ten times more fun than trying to fit myself into an outline that I never could fit in to begin with~
Let's spread our blasphemous heresy (I love the double meanings here) and cackle like crazy people. Sounds like a good plan to me! (:

SoundlessWhispers In reply to Nullibicity [2016-04-01 18:55:57 +0000 UTC]

... Kelsi. You're YOUNGER, therefore those were 22 minutes that you were not born yet. You're the one who kicked me out into this cold, harsh world. Alone. Starving. Naked. Pre-mature... Though you could say I inhibited you from living your life with equal opportunities, and those precious minutes that set you behind have affected the way you live your day-to-day life.

Love the song! Wonderful lyrics, and so catchy!

Since you accuse me of never sharing songs
Here are some of the songs I've been listening to lately, in no particular order or magnificence (hence the asterisks):

Run (Acoustic Version) - Amanda Tenfjord*(Use Spotify, there's no YouTube videos).
The Dream Song - Nathan Reich* (Looove the musical atmosphere of this one. Eargasms).
Plans - Dustin Tebbutt
The Same Things - Lauren O'Connell
Hustler - Josef Salvat* (Almost too catchy...)
Break the Silence - Francois Mulder
Rising Sun - Prince of Spain
We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off - Ella Eyre (This one just gets stuck in my head. I also find it very relevant to the youths on/in the cusp of independence/adulthood: All rush, all sex; no romance, no taking the time to enjoy the luxury of platonic intimacy... *hands back soap box*)
Don't Stay Low - The Good Mad
I Go On - Jillian Edwards
Feeling of Being - Lucy Schwartz (I misspelled that just now as 'Feeling of Bing.' True story, someone should write a song about it: There's so much angst in the life of a search engine lol).
Above the Clouds of Pompeii - Bear's Den* (He writes a lot of personal experience, but the lyrics are so poetically beautiful that I can't help but drink in the imagery and sounds).
Elysium - Bear's Den* (I just close my eyes and become a whimsical dreaming mess with this song... it's beautiful)
Halcyon - The Paper Kites
Half-Moon - Blind Pilot*

I hope you'll like them all, but I hope you find a couple that you absolutely love!

v_v I did indeed. It was beautiful.

Yours are all so beautiful and raw... I was afraid mine would be too simple... or something. Plus you know how I get with music: it's like giving away little pieces of my soul.
In other words, don't expect too much! They're probably not extravagant by any means, but even the lower-key ones just speak to me in a kind of almost nostalgia...
It's some of these little discreet tracks that feed my soul. They're like little whispers of other, subtle worlds that you can only approach and appreciate in silence.
Kind of like crawling in the chrysalis of the artist's mind and falling asleep to the wonders.

You're more than welcome.
I honestly just prattle about my thoughts, but I'm happy they are not entirely plotless. I really enjoy contemplating, and your pieces provoke that curiosity. I think I may feel the need to compensate, because there's something about your pieces that demand a moment of silence.

I find myself saying this a lot in regards to your work, and I hope it does not desensitize my intent, but your talent is beautiful. I'm more than happy to have the opportunity to appreciate it.
