I have a question!

Do you, or have you ever tried, to make gun holsters that are meant for the thighs?

Sort of. I have several holsters that hang low and have a strap that holds the holster to the thigh, but all still attach to a belt to support the weight of the gun. The only exception is the derringer and garter: [link]

One problem with a holster attached solely to the thigh is gravity. The thigh is a tapered cone shape so a strap with any real weight on it starts sliding down while walking due to gravity and muscle flexing. Elastic helps with the changing leg shape when the muscle flexes, but will only do so much before things start sliding down...especially with the weight of a gun.

Another delemma is twisting. Because the leg is round, the strap will tend to move around the leg. The weight of the holster causes it to usually move the the back of the thigh. In short, any holster for the thigh will likely need some type of support to connect to a belt and to hold it on the outside of the thigh.

I can make most anything to specification though. :D (Big Grin)
