That sounds interesting...wouldn't be so bad in a group as long as the crit was equal for everyone XD
each person has to present their "body of work" to a group of faculty and then they let at it. Seriously our teachers told us the point of it was to make you cry lol

Mine was alright, typical i guess...nothing super exciting. But you know, back to the grind...i finally caught this sickness that's been going around for a while, so i'll be out of commission for a few days probably. cool that i get to relax but sucky that its under these circumstances. :chuckles: Well, the scanner that I normally used has been taken away as the roommate w/ it has moved out. So no art for now. Plus, I haven't been drawing very well and things not really worth posting. But at least it practice, ya? I'll get something decent drawn!

yeah dude its great to still practice. sorry to hear about the scanner, sucks how its like the one thing that prevents someone from sharing their talent yah know? I've been drawing as much as I can, trying to do at least one non-doodle a day...honestly im not posting because im kinda embarrassed with what i have up now, and DA doesnt let you mass delete anything...and idk its a hassle to keep up with sometimes. Maybe ill make a blog

Well, you can always throw your pictures in scraps, old or new. It's kind of like a fresh start, right? I'd keep some of the old pictures b/c it lets you (and others) see how far you've come as an artist.
Coraline was actually a good movie. I'd highly recommend it. And the 3D version I saw, it was well done. Kind of creepy, but in a good way.

Yeah dude, i loved it. saw it in 3D also, and I agree, they used it wisely, not over-done. Wybee(sp) was by far my favorite, loved how he moved around. see any other good movies lately?

Hahaha. Work is keeping me busy. However, my boss is a jackass and I'm close to a walk out on him. What's neat is if I go, I got people to go w/ me. :laughs: But I'll make the most of work while I can still stand it.
I'm also getting some friends from home to visit me. It'll be nice. Which reminds me to get tickets to visit home for the holidays this year.

The rebellion is a fruitful one. Things are much better at work now.
Grad school going well, I hope. Since last chatting, you must have finished two semesters (or at least are close to finishing). I know what it's like to want to finish. I had senior-itis when I was a sophomore.
W/ the summer coming, you can get plenty of outdoor time!

I have about 3 or 4 weeks left of school, crunch time. Everyone's looking for jobs, finishing up their thesis, and more or less freaking the eff out. That being said I hope you eventually go, I thought it was an interesting experience overall.

Finals and the job search. Oh lordy, that's all sorts of fun. I don't miss the stress of finals. :laughs: Though, I would like a new, better job. But what I got works.
Things that are relatively new for me: The end of May, I'll be going on vacation to a South Carolina island (Fripp, or something like that). End of June is a trip to Pittsburgh for a convention. And a possibility of the the person I'm pseudo dating to move down here. So it's all about the summer!

Good luck on the job hunt. I hope you get to at least enjoy some of the summer relaxing. After so much school, you deserve it.
As for my icon, it's IY dusting (by hanging it and hitting the dust off) some cloth or bedding. It was a silly episode where they were cleaning some house/temple place.

Last few cons I've gone to have been fun. I like the slightly smaller ones better. Less crowding, able to run into/find people more repeatedly (as long as they aren't the creepy kind

I got the same vibe, even people not generally into anime suggested it to me, which is what raised my eyebrow in the first place. I havent gotten past episode one, so maybe i dont think it's all that great in reality.

Luckily, the con I went to this past June was a safe, and relatively creep free for me.
:laughs: If you can't bring yourself to finish the first episode... I don't know. The thing w/ some anime is that it picks up in a few episodes into the series. You can't really can't expect anything based off of one or two episodes.

Myself, place I was working at shut down w/o any notice, so I've been looking for a job for months. And still no luck. No matter where I apply, it's pretty discouraging (and it's hard to stay optimistic for much longer). So my excitement involves application turn ins, going back to places to see the status of my application, or hanging out at home waiting for a call back (when I'm told "We'll call you"). There are some other household messes, personal stuff that go on, but I'm sure you're not all that interested in that. :laughs:
Anyway! How is Cali for you? How did the family take it, and all that? Still try to visit on special occasions, `cause I know it isn't cheap.
