So far, I'm doing alright. I'm in NorCal for the summer for an internship in the area, so I'm living with the family in the interim (it's what, 20 minutes' drive from where I live? Rohnert Park to Petaluma?), and will be back down south once pharm school resumes in the fall, whee.
Elsewise, I'm presently getting over a summer cold (fun stuff), and there's not much else to report, I'd say.

I've been really busy, or rather life happens and being self-employed is more than an 8-hr a day job. I'm recuperating from the last convention I went to as a vendor, as I just got back yesterday. That makes it my 3rd out of 4 cons for me.

I'm in the last lap of my summer convention tour of Artist Alleys, which'll be at Anime Expo from the 1st-4th of July.

And I've got jury duty two weeks later... I'm really hoping I don't get caught up in a case, but only God knows.

Anyhoo, I'll (probably) be less busy once August is done and over with. I'd imagine new things have come up for you since your prior response. =^_^'=

Holy smokes, woman, this was from almost a year ago. XD;

This summer I'll be down here in San Diego: we begin rotations on 6/28, which go the rest of the school year. I've scheduled two of them up in NorCal, however, so I'll be back up there for that in early 2011, then back down here for board and law exam reviews, and then they'll unleash me on the world to wreak some pharmaceutical havoc.
Best of luck with AX. I hear it's a big con. Never been, though.

I may be going to USC for my Ph.D., so at that time it'll be just a short jaunt, and thus I'll likely find time to drop in.

Though I may instead be going to places like the University of British Columbia or Carnegie Mellon, so I may not be so close after all. I suppose we'll have to see.

It's not -that- high of a priority for me, though. I have my own conventions to attend as it is.

I'm shooting to be an actor, really, but the Ph.D. ensures I have a fighting chance to achieve tenure as a professor, which is almost like acting for a purpose.

The con is Anthrocon, specifically.

Hmm, I've evidently learned something about you presently, then.

Suiting might be fun, but I've never done it and only plan to if I'm wearing a darn good suit--preferably of my character, rather than one not connected to me in any substantial fashion. One of my buddies that I room with at AC has a pretty amazing partial suit (he was on a lot of last year's news coverage of the event), so it might be that my expectations have been pre-spoiled.
They are indeed darn expensive, though.

Indeed. Hence why I'm waiting on getting through Ball-Jointed Doll clothing, Gothic Lolita, Cosplaying, and other hobbies that require knowledge of a needle and thread, before I get to Suiting. The aforementioned are pricey as they are, but even if you do DIY there are still costs that add up. But at least I'll be put it together myself by that time. =^_^'=
