Ah! theres a trailer now ! no, didnt see the trailer, been waiting
for this movie a long time now, not sure if I even wanna see the
trailer come to think of it might contain spoilers

I usually never watch the trailers for movies Im anticipating.

Did you like what you saw? and most importantly, did you like
the first one?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cra1g321 In reply to Th3R0b [2014-03-08 20:40:47 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah i would suggest not watching it, if you don't want any potential spoilers.

Yeah i always liked the first one, very unique movie.

Looks like there is more characters in this one, while keeping the most of the ones from the first one.

I think this one could be better

yeah the first one is in its own league completely!
best movie I ever saw

I doubt they are able to top the first one but I
hold very high hopes for it!

hi r0b sorry im asking here again xD well i trying to change the Tab look with css as you suggest me first, i get an osx screenshot cut a tab and well i use background-image to put it, when the tab change his size, everything looks like crap xD so searching around internet i discover some properties like border-image and border-left-image and border-right-image, so i cut my tab image in 3 parts (middle and repeat, left and right) but then i found that border-left-image and border-right-image isn't sopported by QWidgets :S so i ask you if you have some link or property to do that.

thx for all! you really help me

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Th3R0b In reply to x11tete11x [2013-10-26 19:02:34 +0000 UTC]

dont use background-image... use border-image and specify
the edges.

the black 'sysmeters' in the top panel are
painted w/ border-image here: screenshot ...this is what u want rite?

x11tete11x In reply to Th3R0b [2013-10-26 19:36:04 +0000 UTC]

oh i see i will check that link , well yes, i wanna write some tabs ike that screenshot, that change dynamic with the color of the window (BTW this are my first steps so i need to learn and try a lot haha)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Th3R0b In reply to x11tete11x [2013-10-26 19:59:02 +0000 UTC]

well if u wanna do that then maybe write a completely new
style... since bespin is very very complex and uses a lot
of hacks and adds a lot of extra functionality.

....and do it for qt5 I might add.... kde switches to qt5
sometime next year w/ the release of kde5 (afaik).

Hi Rob

I have a request for you.

I saw in your screenshots which in addition to being spectacular, the text boxes/QLineEdit do not have the gradient and have the style of the buttons, (inlay, Suken, relief, raised), this is something I really hate about bespin text boxes look ugly with gradient and dont fallow the buttons style of course in my opinion.

Might do us the favor to the community to share that modification to the source code, or maybe make a patch please. xD

for example in your screenshots th3r0b.deviantart.com/art/meta...

th3r0b.deviantart.com/art/a-cl...

th3r0b.deviantart.com/art/summ...

the search textbox/QLineEdit

they look amazing spectacular and follow the style of the buttons

thanks

Th3R0b In reply to samuaz [2013-07-23 14:19:55 +0000 UTC]

First off, thank u!

Second, Thomas would never accept a patch like
this.

Third, Thomas is actually correct, lineEdits should
look different from buttons and other elements (all
elements should look completely different from each
other to maximize usability).

Fourth, iffff (and that's a big if) I was to make a patch
for bespin to do this, then the patch would only work
for one specific version of bespin (the one that I made it for)
so it would be pretty much unusable per-se.

Fifth, if you really are serious about this then I suggest
mailing Thomas about it and making a damn good argument
as to why u want this (ugly is not gonna cut it).

sry.... but this is just how it is

As long as the uuid in the fstab match and update grub, I cant see any reason why it won't boot...after servers mirror drives all the time. After all you can clear and generate new uuid's

hello , i ask you (master of bespin xD) something. i want use mac window buttons in bespin window border to be able to use bespin window decorator in netbook orientation, is this posible?, or the other chance, it's possible use dekorator in netbook orientation? thx

Th3R0b In reply to x11tete11x [2012-07-26 14:23:39 +0000 UTC]

you mean you want "aqua" buttons (traffic
light colored buttons) in the titlebar?

in
[Deco]
set:
IAmMyLittleSister=true

reload kwin

dekorator does not support vertical
titlebars afaik, that is something
of a hack/workaround by Thomas.

Th3R0b In reply to LaGaDesk [2012-07-18 13:53:36 +0000 UTC]

Ic, well, atm I work at piston pin factory
that makes piston pins for rather large diesel
motors, the largest ones I think weigh about
250 - 300 kg. Which is a lot as far as piston pins
go. What I do is check the pins for errors.

I have no education whatsoever in this field
so I have received a lot of info the
last few days (started monday, gonna be working
for a month, then back to school) and everything
is just a blur atm

So, what spare time I have, I'm not gonna spend
at my computer now that the sun is finally shining!

Thx! you too, have a nice summer, whats left of it!
I don't know about there but here it's like the
worst ever.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LaGaDesk In reply to Th3R0b [2012-07-19 07:52:20 +0000 UTC]

This all sounds very exciting. I have never seen such huge pin pistons.
How do you check these for errors? Is this an optical check or with computers
and special equipment?

What I always wanted to ask you, what you learn when you go to school
and what is that a school?

I hope the sun is shining a lot for the rest of summer for you and your family!
Here it rains all days and it's much too cold (18-22°C instead of 25-30°C).
Indeed, you could really say it's the worst summer ever!
Let's make the best of it!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Th3R0b In reply to LaGaDesk [2012-07-19 13:18:38 +0000 UTC]

The pistons these pins are for are huge,
up to half a meter in diameter. Mostly for
biiiiiiig ship motors.

Well, I pour some ultraviolet liquid over
the pin, then create a magnetic field
with electromagnets in the pin (up to 3000 ampere,
that's a lot of power), power varying
on the size of the pin. With this method
you can find errors in the material up to
like...... 2mm under the surface. Then I check
the pin under a strong ultraviolet lamp
and the errors shine quite nicely... iffff
there are errors that is. Then I demagnetize
the pin (otherwise the motor could explode
in worst scenario). That's the short version,
pls don't ask for the long I only know
so much.

I study ICT at [link] and I
learn mostly boring office stuff (ms office)
and some other stuff like accounting. Very
little programming... in visual basic

The weather is the same here..... seems to
have gotten somewhat better lately tho.

Yeah, lets!
