They're a semi-open species. You can make characters and adopts with common traits uncommon and rare traits are only allowed to by the admins so only through adopts and customs can they gotten. When making adopts I would suggest making sure with the owners.

Yes! Really all my characters do. I can only think of a few that are not, those who are dead, Jiji, Crow, and Foxcry for family, Shivertalon and Foxcry for a mate, this excludes Rosemelody by default. Even the younger ones, such as Yewpaw is open for mates, but it won't be official until they're old enough.
