# About me
I was born and raised in San Diego, Ca. I'm married to the most wonderful man in the world and am a proud mommy to our cat, Brutus. I love spending time with my family and friends, I am so blessed to have them in my life. I enjoy being out doors, gardening, reading, comics, video games and finding new interesting recipes to cook.I have always loved to draw, paint, take photos and be creative through many different mediums. I spent a lot of time outdoors at parks, the beach, the zoo and Sea World (still do) when I was growing up and nature has a huge influence on my work, especially in my photographs. My mom and grandma were very creative and had vivid imaginations, and thanks to them, I have been blessed with both gifts. My imagination and love of being creative fuels each and every one my creations.
The Crafty Maiden was founded on November 6, 2011. I create original pieces which include jewelry and other accessories, paintings, photography and anything that strikes my fancy. I don't have a favorite medium, instead I use many different techniques from salting my paintings to decoupage to wire work and wood burning. I am influenced by my love of nature, Wicca, the Victorian age, a little bit of goth, some geek and steampunk. I try to incorporate all of these loves and passions into each and every piece I create.
