You're welcome. I've got a little time right now, I'm just going to upload an updated version of my current WIP, then I'll find your link, and check it out

I appreciate you checking it out. Obviously my urban/scifi work doesn't come close to your badassery, but it is new to me and I'm getting better. 2 years ago pretty much all I drew was trees, then I started writing this story I really loved and realized I couldn't draw any of it, and I've been attempting to educate myself in the kind of technical work necessary since then, and it is crazy difficult. That's why I started watching you, I have a lot of respect for people who can do such amazing technical work and it's great being able to be influenced by people I would probably never meet in the real world. Your work is just so clean, it's Geoff Darrow meets Katsuhiro Otomo, really brilliant. I can see where you're still growing and working to be a better artist, but your road is far shorter than mine. I expect to see you sitting at a discussion table someday soon. Two things:
1: I do wish you would be a little harsher with me. I can take the critique. I'm not fragile. I know I have room for improvement.
2: One of the things I've worried about is the fact that scifi comics don't have much of a market in America, a friend pointed out it's huge in Europe, have you thought about trying to release Swipe in England? The art is done, no need to translate, you should look into it.

That's really cool, nothing better than teaching yourself how to draw. Β Some people might do better going to school or having someone else teach them, but I've found no ones is a better teacher than myself, and you might be the same. Β I was going to critique your work, but I wasn't sure if you were okay with that, but I should have known better. Β The main things that stood out to me, that could use improvement were your people. Β If your serious about this, I would recommend just studying the hell out of the human anatomy. Β As far as Swipe being released in Europe, unfortunately it's out of my hands now, since it's already been published by Angry Viking Press, I believe they are still within their rights to make the final call on that, but it wouldn't hurt to mention it to them I suppose. Β Keep up the good work!

Thanks! One of my characters is supposed to look like something's wrong with him but that would probably read better if the anatomy on my others was cleaner. It would probably be a good idea to peek through one of my anatomy books when I'm fine tuning my pencil work, it isn't exactly my strongest suit. As far as Swipe goes a lot of smaller to mid size publishers don't have an exclusivity built into their contracts which means you can republish through whoever you want whenever you want, you should check out the contract, even if they do have all publishing rights it should be for a limited number of years which means you can always resell it after their option runs out.

I hope you enjoy it! I heard we got more orders in, still not the 400 minimum, but I guess once one book has been picked up they continue to give it a shot at success, which is good. Β I really hope it catches on soon, I owe a lot to people like you, thank you.

my pleasure, my copy was waiting when i got home and i'm enjoying it, i see what you're saying about losing detail with the color though, there's a lot of cool stuff that you don't notice unless you're really looking, like the ceiling in the bar in the first issue, maybe you could get flatter colors in later issues, although I guess that's probably the writers call. nevertheless the art's great and i'm liking the writing too. are there plans to write further stories, or are y'all done with the series for now?

As far as I can tell, I'm pretty much done with SWIPE, and working with those guys. Β It was fun, but now it's time to move on I just wish my local comics shops here in WA were as 'on it' as yours. Β I ordered my copy like three months ago, and they never got it.
