# About me
I love strong, toned women. Enough muscle to show power, but not so much to lose the precious beauty of the sculpted female form. I also love capable, confident, dominant women who do not need rescuing. In fact, the women I like are apt to be doing the rescuing. And also being the ones in charge and "on top". ;)Prince Charming? Damsels in distress? Meh. Hail to role reversals.
While I greatly admire the female body, I also have a strong bias towards the lower extremities: the legs and feet. I find them sexy. Yep. That's a foot/leg fetish. Oh noes.
I love seeing the strong women as described above kicking, fighting and breaking things with their bare feet (or hands). Specifically big game like dragons or dinosaurs. Itβs fun. Hence my original character, Amber.
I also find anthropomorphic femmes to be exotic and sexy. Particularly of the wolf, jackal or vixen variety. Even better when they have nice paaaaaws :P
All that in a nutshell: most of the art youβll see here represents the fantasist and fetishist part of me. It shouldn't come as a surprise then that I like fantasy and sci-fi games/movies/books, etc.
Besides the visual artistic side of me, I also like to write on the side. I'd be into model railroading if I had the money--damn expensive hobby. So instead I do a bit of photography as a hobby, which is just as expensive, but at least has a potential of being able to make a bit of money in return...maybe.
I'd also storm chase if I had the time. I'm that guy you see heading outside when bad weather is coming instead of seeking shelter inside.
I love luxury cars, although certainly can't afford them. You know what they say...champagne tastes, beer money.
My favorite music mostly tends to be soundtracks, both from games and movies. I'm more a fan of pure music than vocals. That doesn't stop me from headbanging to heavy metal or relaxing to soft jazz. Talk about a contrast!
I go between extreme variations of laziness and hard work. Procrastination is my worst weakness.
As for my real job. Well, don't ask. It's even more boring than this description was!

Definitely! Your new renders are really something. Are you progressing through trial and error or is there a good source for tutorials you know of? I still have issues with lighting doing unexpected things (weird shadow artifacts or not lighting areas you'd expect it to), which you'd think would happen less frequently in a PBR engine.

Yeah, trial and error. Took me a lot to achieve this level of quality, but mostly because I'm pushing every single button in DAZ, sometimes ending in a great discovery
Looking at your renders I see a huge potential, but I think the renders you are making aren't done in Iray.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would say you are using the default lights that come with DAZ, right?

Thrakki In reply to FootsieZ [2019-02-03 23:30:36 +0000 UTC]
You're mostly correct - all the renders (except for the newest one, Dauntless) use regular or modified lights with the original render, 3delight. Dauntless is done in Iray, and the results are definitely better, but still not sure if it's really "there" yet. If I recall, it was done using a lightdome, as well as several spotlights. The one thing I hate about the trial and error method is the length of time it can take to perform tests, and that's with a relatively quick GTX 1080 card. It would be awesome if DAZ could implement something like a realtime render engine, similar to the new versions of Blender and Octane.

True, there is not such a thing in DAZ still, but I'm sure they are going to make something like that in future.
Instead of using the default lights try using something like this instead:
www.daz3d.com/ptf-neon-splash-β¦
And If you ask me, i think you should only render using Iray since it makes the renders look more refined and "ready for posting"
The only downside I see when using Iray is the time required to finish the render.
Also, do keep in mind that using camera instead of a default preview gives you the option to play with camera focus, DOF effects and even frame length/widthΒ
Hope this info helps you achieve making better renders ^_^
Cheers!

The writing is coming along. Winter is always a bad time for anything with me, though.
You have some interesting new faves...

Winter, ugh. I hope the stuff I've read about the Maunder Minimum isn't as severe as it sounds it could be. Then again, I've learned to take predictions (or polls!) with some measure of doubt; most turn out to be wrong.
Ah yes, the faves. They've definitely been towards the fetish side of things lately, lol.

In fact, I just caught this 'RuthlessSavage' you started watching... she has a journal up for trades or requests. I have offered to write a short fight in trade for image of same.

I wouldn't mind if it got a bit colder just to throw the alarmists into a panic.
The faves *nods* I checked a few of them out. Been seeking fight sequences for ideas... hoping to put Kajm through his paces again soon.

How are things going for you lately?

I would have to say Advancing. I am working on the true, beginning chapter of my first book... once that is completed and parsed / edited, I can begin reworking those chapters which follow, as they needΒ a great deal of work. By the end of next year... keep fingers crossed!
If you did wish to talk about anything, you could always drop me a line.
